🎉 Exciting milestone alert! 🎉 Last week marked a significant moment in my career journey – I am thrilled to celebrate my 3-year work anniversary at Forage! 🚀✨ Time truly flies when you're passionate about what you do, and these past three years have been nothing but an adventure! Reflecting on this journey, I wanted to share 4 key lessons I've learned during my time at Forage: 1️⃣ Adaptability is Key: Working in a scale-up company like Forage has taught me the importance of adaptability. The landscape is ever-changing, and being able to experiment and pivot quickly, embrace change, learn fast and think on your feet is crucial. This is particularly true of a customer success manager working on the front line with our employers who are also adapting to the changing needs of the early talent market. 2️⃣ Collaboration Amplifies Impact: The power of collaboration cannot be overstated. Working closely with diverse teams, both at Forage and on the client side, is what I love the most about being a customer success manager! Harnessing the collective intelligence and skills of a diverse group accelerates our ability to solve complex challenges. I feel so lucky to work alongside such smart and enthusiastic people at Forage. I learn so much from them every day! 3️⃣ Uplifting Next-gen Talent: Witnessing the impact our employers have on the growth and development of early talent has been immensely rewarding. I absolutely love uncovering the success stories from students who are hired by our employers and hearing how Forage helped to boost their career confidence! Working for a company with a mission like Forage is what motivates me to do my best work. 4️⃣ Resilience Triumphs Over Challenges: Challenges are inevitable, especially in a scaling company like Forage. However, what I've learned is that resilience is the key to overcoming them and emerging on the other side stronger. Embracing setbacks as opportunities for growth and learning has allowed me to grow. I have noticed the same resilience in my colleagues and believe that by overcoming challenges together we become a much stronger team! I am incredibly grateful to be part of the Forage family, surrounded by brilliant people and a leadership team with growth mindsets! 🚀🌟 Looking forward to 2024!!!

May 1st - I felt a shift. I can’t pinpoint the exact moment I ceased celebrating new months or embracing excitement. It feels as though I simply woke up one day and chose indifference. What's the point of marking time when nothing seems to change? But today, everything feels different. Over recent months, I've dedicated myself to learning and self-improvement. I was accepted into all the programs I applied for, and suddenly, life seems clearer. I took a moment to acknowledge my achievements and set new milestones for this month. I realized it wasn't the new month I stopped celebrating, but rather the potential for new beginnings. There was a lack of anticipation, just routine. With newfound alignment, life has become more serene. For the first time in a while, I'm excited and I anticipate the opportunities this new month holds. Fear and nerves have dissipated; I have plans, and my task is to stick to them. Reflecting, I understand the significance of setting goals at the start of the year. Organization provides clarity and purpose, making life more manageable. Today, seize opportunities. Enroll in that course, share that picture, initiate that change, and abandon procrastination. The satisfaction of fulfillment outweighs any initial apprehension. Make those changes, and you'll find it's truly worth it!"

🎉 Celebrating a Year of New Beginnings! One year ago, I made the bold decision to leave my previous position. Despite my best efforts, I couldn’t achieve the progress I wanted. I lacked the support to lead effectively, faced dishonesty, and often felt undermined. This journey taught me five invaluable lessons: 𝟭. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: A supportive company culture is crucial for success. Leading a team and achieving goals without the necessary support and resources is challenging. 𝟮. 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘆: Experiencing dishonesty from various organizational levels taught me the importance of integrity. Trust and transparency are fundamental to a healthy work environment. 𝟯. 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗻: Understanding when a situation is no longer beneficial is vital. Recognizing when to move on for personal and professional growth is also important. 𝟰. 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺: Despite the toxic environment, I had a fantastic team. Their dedication and talent were highlights of my time there. I miss them and the good moments we shared. 𝟱. 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: This experience made me stronger and more resilient. It reminded me that there’s an opportunity to learn and grow even in challenging times. In one year, I have created a much healthier and more productive environment for myself. Plus, I can travel more. 😀 Here’s to new beginnings and striving for a positive and impactful career! 🚀

Happy New Year! Buon Anno Nuovo! 🎉 For those of you in the Job Search, it's been a rough 2023! I've faced many challenges as a career coach, the biggest one being able to better motivate my job seekers when there is not even a glimmer of a light at the end of a long tunnel. What have I learned through all of this? I've realized that it's not necessarily about the "end goal" of landing a role. (Yes, I know that reality dictates that we find a means to support ourselves and our families, and that is extremely stressful.) However, I understand now that it's more about the journey of discovery and focusing on growing as a software engineer by building new things, finding like-minded people to "geek out" with and immersing oneself into the industry to learn as much as possible. I encourage my job seekers to take advantage of this time to really learn, build and have fun as engineers as much as possible. I invite everyone to embrace this New Year with a fresh perspective and believe that "now" is more real that an unknown future.

Today marks my 13th Anniversary as a member of The Brydens Group. I feel privileged to have had the chance to collaborate with influential individuals who have enabled me to forge a fulfilling path while contributing value to the organization. Reflecting on my journey, if you had asked me at the outset if I envisioned myself in my current role, I would likely have answered affirmatively. I have always been driven and recognized the unique skillset I possess and how it can effectively be utilized. My philosophy includes volunteering my talents where I believe they can make a difference, regardless of personal gain. This approach has not only opened doors to unforeseen opportunities but also allowed me to display abilities beyond my designated responsibilities. At Brydens, I have transitioned from Brand Manager to Business Development Manager and now Group Corporate Affairs Manager—a career trajectory that aligns perfectly with my aspirations. Each role has been a learning experience, allowing me to refine my skills and maintain a perpetual sense of excitement. Ultimately, it boils down to comprehending your value. In essence, if you view yourself as a brand, what principles do you stand for? My journey highlights the significance of hard work, belief, and being a bit of a dreamer. Defining your identity and ensuring that you consistently deliver on it is paramount. As I celebrate 13 years with Brydens with great enthusiasm, I hope, in your journey, you too have a narrative of growth and self-discovery, where you have carved out opportunities by recognizing your inherent value. Today is my 1-year work anniversary with Hudson Technology Systems. If you check my job history, I rarely stay at one job, one position for more than a year. Even before I was in tech, I was a serial job hopper. Before tech, it was a function of boredom/annoyance, and since making the transition to tech, it has been a function of curiosity/opportunity (read: ability to both grow income and skillset). At this job with Hudson, I feel like I've got everything. We move fast, we work on interesting problems, the challenges are continuous. We take full ownership of the results, which we are at best rewarded for or at worst learn from. I'm allowed to be myself, and on top of that, my attitude toward programming and people doesn't cause negative conflict, but positive conflict that pushes us forward. Everyone on the team wants to be an S-tier player, do things the right way, and be the best they can be. Igor Ulis and my team members make it 100% worthwhile to keep working here, and I have a lot of gratitude toward them. I believe I'll be working with this team and these people for a long while. But, perhaps controversially, I would still encourage those who are not satisfied with their situation to continue job hopping and seeking projects at the edge of your ability. If you hop for the right reasons, you will make gains that help you become a stronger contributor, until you're fortunate enough to end up right where you should be. Better and better.

Celebrating my 3rd year Anniversary of losing a career after 20 years of continuous employment. 1st August will always be a Monumental Day in my Life. The following 1 year, thought me so many lessons about what comfort zones meant. How for 20 years I lived my life as a salary earner without even once thinking I would lose my job. (1) How I had failed to build transferable skills and (2) develop a greater sense of commercial mindset. How I (3) failed to embrace intrapreneurship behaviors while working for large organization. These would be the 3 Lessons I would teach my younger self, If I could reverse time. The struggle of unemployment is real, not only in financial matters but it goes deep down to Question your self worth and eventually can make or break a man. I was jobless for 1.5 years. But through PAIN, you either Break or you become a BELIVER … in yourself. Through failure, we push and scale heights we never thought possible. But we got to stick to that process, feel the pain, learn to deal with it and move on. No matter how hard it seems to be, believe me, You Got This. Just hang in there. Happy August my friends. Lets keep moving forward!

Happy 6-month work anniversary to me! 🎉 Can't believe how quickly time flies when you're learning and growing! Here are some updates on my journey: 1. Exciting news! I was honored with a 2023 Performance Recognition Award for my hard work and dedication. 2. I've been honing my PowerPivot and data skills in Excel, and it's been an enlightening journey. 3. I've been immersed in our ERP system and have made significant strides in becoming proficient in it. 4. Creating meaningful relationships has been a highlight for me. Building strong connections with colleagues and partners has been incredibly rewarding. 5. Gaining insight into the operational workings of a larger company, especially in a new industry, has been invaluable. It's given me a clearer perspective on how to drive positive change. Here's to more challenges, more growth, and more achievements in the next six months and beyond! 🚀

7 years with the same company – isn’t that boring? 🤔 February marked my 7-year work anniversary with AGRANA Fruit. 🎉 Many people might wonder what makes you stay at a company for so long?! Let me share my top 3 “why’s” with you: 👉 Why #1 – exceptional setting and people: A truly global food company headquartered in Austria where you get to work with colleagues from the whole globe ranging from Argentina to Australia and everything in between stands out. As a food enthusiast and globetrotter, I love this setting and the diversity of people and cultures I deal with every day. 🌎 👯 👉 Why #2 – empowerment: I have been promoted early on in my career to a global management role and empowered ever since to contribute and shape part of our success. I enjoy great flexibility to design my work together with my team to reach our goals. 💪 👉 Why #3 – change is the only constant: Even though it’s the same company and a similar area of work I’m in for a long time, things change constantly. My tasks, responsibilities and projects are so diverse and have evolved a lot. 🌪 Of course, it’s not all roses and flowers, there have been many challenges to overcome in these years and there are drawbacks to staying with the same company for a long time, but it has been a great ride so far. 🙌 💭 What about you?
