Lean Maturity Model and eFPS Best Practices Exchange at Ford-Otosan Turkish Plants Last week I had the pleasure to spend three days with the Ford-Otosan team and Neil Wright in Gölcük, Yeniköy and Eskişehir VO and PTO plants. We participated in Control Centers (ZCC, MCC, DCC, PCC and BCC) sharing best practices and providing improvement recommendations. Additionally, we reviewed one by one all digitalization Lean tools (eFPS) looking for innovative ideas and synergies. The Ford-Otosan teams supported by IT are implementing very efficient management digital solutions. Great job!!! I want to thank everyone involved, specially ASLI GÜL BUĞDACI, Hande Tung, Neal Wright, Cem Temel, Josephine Payne, Güven Özyurt, Pınar Kılınç, Gamze YÜRÜK ÇAKIRSOY, Şeymanur Acar, Serçin Firinci, @Fevzi Kucuk, Alper Özçift, Cihan Angin, Yusuf Pamukçu, Adrian Calangiu, Mustafa Karacan, Ilknur KOKSAL, Ugur Uresin, Koru Sarıkaya, FATİH SARI, Tahsin FIRINCI, Simge Erdemgil Çimen, Onur Dinçkurt, Utku TUNA, Yavuz Demir, Hakan Yilmaz, Engin Aktaş

Lean Maturity Model (LMM) Review - Bus Tour in UK Plants (DEP and HTP) This week a team of 50 Ford Lean experienced employees from EU, IMG and Americas regions with more than 1,000 years of work experience combined, gathered in Dagenham Engine Plant (DEP) and Halewood Transmissions Plant (HTP) to review the Lean Maturity status. During this week, plants have shared best practices and have listened to the advice of colleagues from other plants aiming for Best in Class Excellence. This agenda followed the structure of the three Bus Tours organized in North America and resulted in a great success. Many thanks to Kieran Cahill, Rima Ghafari Jasser, Terry Sapsford, Martin Everitt, Lee Meyers, Wendy Graham, Philip Boden, Neal Wright, Christina Ehlen and all other team members that made this event possible. 🚌🚌🚌🚌

One of the best things leaders can do is to “go and see.” Talking directly with our team members who are on the ground, solving problems in real time can bring terrific insights. It’s helpful to get out of your office and learn together in person about the obstacles and opportunities our teams are working on. Recently, more than 50 Ford and UAW leaders and employees went on a bus tour visiting several Ford plants to see first-hand how teamwork can drive excellence in our plant quality and operations. Their visits at Lima Engine, Kentucky Truck, Louisville Assembly, and Sharonville Transmission Plants helped reinforce just how critical purposeful collaboration is across departments to our everyday success. I learn a lot every time I visit our plants, and I know this group walked away with some great insights and best practices to bring back to their teams! #WeAreFord #FordMotorCompany #BuiltFordProud Ford Motor Company

Buckeye and Bluegrass Kentucky Bus Tour I had the honour and pleasure to be part of the Ford Motor Company Manufactring 2nd Bus Tour. We were a diverse group of more than 50 Ford colleagues traveling by bus to visit four key manufacturing plants in the southern Michigan and Kentucky area. It was a learning, coaching and exchanging intense exercise to identify and eliminating waste. This hands on and fully transparent activity clearly helps accelerate continuous improvement at the plants we visited, for us in the bus and our organizations now back home. Thank you Rima Jasser, Bryce Currie and all the other members in the bus for making this a reality. https://lnkd.in/eXsA_E9Z
