He built trust in the organisation, the mission (where there wasn't any). He made people want to work for the organisation; some of the best in the World (they didn't want to). In doing so, he built trust in each other within the organisation (it hadn t existed). And as he did that, he made customers want to be part of it. And when you add in the results it is hard to think of of a bigger impact and legacy that a leader could have had, especially when we consider where brand England was. #culture #leadershipimpact

Celebrating the promotions on your team has many long term effects. It's great for the celebrant for whom this is a rare and very special occasion. It also helps combat their imposter syndrome: yes, you are good at this. It's also great for the rest of the team. "People DO get promoted around here." and "Someday that will be me". Sure, there's occasional jealousy, but it's rare if the promotion is clearly deserved. So celebrate those promotions. Don't do them in silence. How do you create momentum to kickstart the upcoming year? In my many years of supporting Fortune 50 companies and talking to various team leaders and employees, I always say that for any team to create momentum, they’ve got to look behind them. You want to refuel yourself by looking back and reflecting on what you have accomplished - what you’ve learned, the effort put in, the gap you’ve closed behind you.
