11th LaVista Correctional Women’s Facility - Colorado DOC, Pueblo, CO. CJC Peer Led Trauma Informed brief Restorative Justice Intervention (RJI) “Crime Victims Impact/Emotional Hygiene (Life Skills) class” Monday – May 13, 2024. Out of the fourteen (14) justice involved individuals who attended our RJI – 74% demonstrated some level of empathetic response or insight into the effects their actions had on their victims or communities. The average ACE (Adverse Childhood Experience – child trauma) score for this class was a “7” out of 14 with fourteen or 93% rating our program EXCELLENT!     How was the class helpful? “Helped me understand the impact on the victims and community. Gave me a better understanding on how to get the Million Dollars check (how to express my feelings appropriately). Helped me to write my apology letter.” J. Rose “Helped me realize the damage I caused and how I can fix it. I learned about the “Gift” (emotional hygiene tech).”  J.
