Yesterday, January 20th, we remembered Brian S. Freeman from Temecula, California. He joined the Long Gray Line as a West Point Class of 1999, graduating as a member of the G-3 Gophers. After graduation, he served as an Armor Officer at Fort Knox, KY. In 2002, Brian was accepted into the Army World Class Athlete Program, where he would earn third place in the America’s Cup for bobsledding. Brian was a loyal friend known for his keen wit, charming smile, and contagious laughter. He was an exceptional husband, father, and friend, and he died a hero. Brian was killed on January 20th, 2007, by wounds sustained when his meeting area came under attack by mortar and smalls-arms fire in Karbala, Iraq while assigned to the 412th Civil Affairs Battalion as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Please continue to grip hands with his wife, Charlotte, and his two children, Gunnar and Ingrid. Please take a moment today to remember, honor, and reflect. #The99LegacyFund #WDIM #BeThouAtPeace
