Just under 5 years ago, I took a call and was asked if I would be interested in having a conversation with Ceva Logistics to come in for 6 to 12 months to help shape the future of their procurement function for UKI. With no experience in logistics or previous ambition to work in the industry, I said, why not?
Roll on 4 years, and, in that time, I have had the privilege to shape CEVA’S procurement strategy in UKI, Europe and then globally.
Having decided to step down in October last year, I had the intention to take some time off, rest up and get around to some DIY projects I had been putting off. I had ‘every intention’ of doing that, but then, three days into my tour of DIY stores, I took a call from IPC EMEA, asking if I would be interested in coming in to help them shape their Food & Packaging procurement function.
Roll on 6 months, and I am happy to announce that I have agreed to join them permanently, to head up the Equipment and Services arm of the Business and become a member of the Exec Team. I look forward to continuing the work here with the team.
I want to thank all the Procurement Team at CEVA around the world, for their support and enthusiasm to the journey we were on together. Carolina Sousa, Hubertus de Poorter, George Tognini, Jeslind Wong, Hakan Sarıçiçek, Philippe Camhi, Krzysztof Sobolewski (MCIPS), Claudio Aimar, Nieves C., Emma Lucas MCIPS, Rosey Parmar, Alison Kirkham, Natalie Power, Agnieszka Batowska, Basile de Feraudy, Yannick Joubert, Majid IMOUSSATEN, Olivier Choquet, Dave Jones Chris Walton, Mark Hutchings, Suruchi Shukla, Andy Heslop, Jan de Breet, Marianne Van Wezel - de Koning and anyone I missed.
Really? haha. Good, isn't it?
