🎖Today marks my 2-year anniversary at Lufthansa Technik Philippines, and it's a moment to reflect on the journey and the valuable lessons learned. Here's what I've discovered: 1. Your values and skills, cultivated over time, are your compass through challenges. They not only guide you but also illuminate your path, helping you shine brightly even in the darkest moments. 2. Not everyone will support your growth, and that's okay. Toxicity exists in every workplace, but maintaining professionalism and integrity will always be your best armor against negativity. 3. Opportunities often present themselves when least expected. Stay patient and trust in the timing of life. What is meant for you will find its way to you, so keep your eyes open and your mind receptive. Sometimes, missed opportunities turn out to be blessings in disguise. If something hasn't been given to you, trust that it wasn't meant for you, and something better is on its way. 4. Growth requires courage and resilience. Push yourself beyond your comfort zone, and trust that clarity will come with perseverance and determination. 5. Finally, remember not to take everything personally. Establishing professional boundaries while remaining true to yourself fosters respect and fairness in your relationships. While you may not be friends with everyone, being authentic and respectful will earn you the trust and respect of your colleagues. The years and experiences you've accumulated are your armor for the future. Each challenge and lesson has prepared you for what lies ahead. Everything becomes easier with time and practice. Let your work speak for itself, showcasing the skills and dedication you've honed over the years. Today, I am honored to be celebrating my 16-Year Work Anniversary with my company! That is a lifetime to some. It feels amazing. The people who I have met, and the things that I have learned on this journey have shaped my life in so many ways. Here are some of the lessons that I have learned over the years... * Work/life balance is crucial. It is important not to lose sight of what you are working for. Take the vacation.  Go to the little-league game. Live a good life.  It is short and you only get ONE. So, work to live, not the other way around.   * Be kind and respectful and greet everyone. Every person in every position. * Give your respect freely but give your trust wisely.  Guard your heart and your personal life. Be discreet. Know the difference between being friends and being friendly. Check your emotions.  Don’t react quickly. Observe silently. Avoid office politics and gossip. * Show up. Be consistent and take action. * Be sincere, intentional and authentic. This goes for both your business and your personal life. * Don’t be afraid to ask people to share their wisdom and experience with you. Share your knowledge with others. * Know the difference between healthy competition and unhealthy “comparisonitis”. * Use the right tools, organize everything, and keep good notes. * Clear is Kind. Keep your communications clear, concise and easy to understand. * Confidence in your abilities and knowing your value is important to your success. Believe in yourself and in your work.  

Comment below! 👇 What was one of your biggest achievements in your professional career? I’ll start…… When I first joined Konecranes, my team felt like it was us against the world. I was faced with a few statements that I was determined to prove wrong. 1. "You'll have pretty high turnover with this group; you'll be lucky to last a year as well." 2. "This area never gets over $X amount a year in revenue." 3. "This group never takes part in the annual Christmas dinner. Maybe 2-3 techs will show up, but that's it." After my first 2 years, we only had 1 person leave, and that was because they were moving to another state. In the first 3 years, we increased our revenue by 21-35% and never fell below the initial threshold that we were told we would never exceed. But the greatest accomplishment I believe I achieved was our first Christmas party after my first full year. Every single tech we had and their families showed up to our dinner, Over 25 individuals! Through servant leadership, deliberate actions to take care of my people, sticking my neck out for them when they might not have deserved it, and a strong will to see them succeed, I fostered an environment where they felt cared for and appreciated. To me, that's worth more than revenue. That’s my greatest achievement.

One Year Work Anniversary!! Where did that time go? 12 months ago to the day, I started with DFDS Logistics Special Cargo - and what a year it’s been!! I joined DFDS having ‘been around the block’ a with a few other companies who just didn’t seem to get it. Don’t get me wrong, if it’s fancy trucks with V8 engines or 750+ Horsepower with alloy wheels and lights you can see from outer space you want, this probably wouldn’t be the company for you. We all basically have the same trucks with the same equipment (mostly 🤔), but it’s the way we do the job that sets us apart from the crowd - and that has to largely be credited to Transport Manager; Paul Grant, Liam Mulligan & Ben Andersen, and of course, a great team of drivers who enable the whole operation to work the best it can. It’d be wrong to say there are never any issues, it wouldn’t be true if I did, but it’s the way we deal with the issues to deliver the solution that makes all the difference. I’ve done all kinds of things over the years, and driving trucks is more of a tick box thing for me. Something I always wanted to do like my Dad before me and his Dad before him (even though he always said he’d kick my butt if I ever looked at one 😂) I wish I had the opportunity to ride alongside him though. The industry is changing in many ways, both in terms of environmental impact, methods of transportation and handling of goods, storage and distribution - all driven by demand created by each and every one of us. I thrive on a challenge, and relish the opportunities to exceed expectations, and it’s that reason I really wanted to join the Special Cargo team. We deliver everything from Steel Pilings to construction materials for some of the highest profile projects currently ongoing in the UK, but it’s the opportunity to be able to provide exceptional service to our customers that drives me on, and also to set an example for others to follow. There are always opportunities to do things differently and the way things have always been done, should always be challenged. The ability to adopt change is the capacity to evolve, and evolution is without doubt, the future. Next week will be my one year anniversary with Savino Del Bene! As I reflect on my journey here, I can't help but feel grateful for the incredible growth, lessons and people this experience has brought into my life. Taking a risk and stepping outside of my comfort zone was scary. Leaving comfort of a giant forwarder and a network I have build over 7 years was daunting...but worth it. Change is uncomfortable, but it is inevitable no matter if you stay or go. What I've come to realize is that the grass is not greener on the other side, and that is ok! Sometimes the grass is the color of an espresso and it's beautiful. 😂 And unless you mow it, water it, and tend to it with dedication and hard work it will not grow no matter what color it is. Listening to my gut instinct proved to be more valuable than any naysayers' opinions about my decision. It's a reminder that our inner compass often knows the path we should follow. Working in a smaller company has been a transformative experience. Wearing multiple hats simultaneously can be uncomfortable, but it's in those moments of discomfort that we truly stretch and grow. I am fortunate to have had Karen Rondino as a role model in this industry for this past year. Her leadership and example as a woman in a traditionally male-dominated field have been an invaluable gift. She a force to be reckoned with! Ultimately, I've learned that finding happiness and living by our values is our responsibility, not anyone else's. Today On December12, I am celebrating my 16th work anniversary at Aegis Life Sciences. Reflecting on these years, I've experienced both fun and enlightenment. These 16years were filled with successes and failures that often went unnoticed amidst the busyness of work. Still, these experiences have been invaluable, serving as the foundation for my growth and development. I've made choices during this time, some deliberate, and others imposed by circumstances. I've completed various projects and joined or created numerous teams, sometimes inheriting existing ones. I've been a mentor and a mentee, learning from colleagues, and encountered countless people along the way. My journey has had highs and lows, shaping me into the professional I am today. I'm deeply grateful to the company, my CEO Mr. Rajeev Gupta, colleagues as specially Mr. Piyush Patel, and team members who believed in my abilities. My family and friends have supported my workaholic tendencies, making it all possible. Colleagues recently asked me to share my key learnings from these roles. I refrained from celebration, viewing this as one milestone in an ongoing journey. I held back sharing key learnings because most profound lessons emerged from failures and challenges. Here are some key learnings, my professional principles: 1. Stay Humble: Respect others' individuality, views, and contributions to build trust and earn respect. 2. Diversity of Thoughts: Surround yourself with diverse perspectives, promote self-awareness, and embrace feedback. 3. Continuous Self-Improvement: Invest in learning, unlearning, and relearning. Mistakes are growth opportunities, but avoid repeating them. 4. Strive for Excellence: Prioritize excellence over popularity, make fair, tough decisions, and uphold integrity and meritocracy. 5. Question Everything: Challenge actions by asking "Why" and "So what," eliminating blind spots for realistic decisions. 6. Thoughtful Communication: Think before speaking, maintain integrity, and avoid unproductive conflicts. 7. Challenge the Status Quo: Embrace change and innovation, challenge yourself rather than waiting for competitors. 8. Loyalty to Principles: Be loyal to your principles and values, guiding work and life actions. 9. Invest in Your Team: Your team fuels your growth. Build a motivated team that reciprocates effort. 10. Balance Leadership and Management: Prioritize impactful tasks that bring happiness. 11. Focus on Results: Processes matter, but results are paramount. Ensure actions contribute to goals. 12. Adaptation for Growth: What worked in the past may not work in the future; embrace change. 13. Integrity and Pride: Be honest, take pride in doing the right thing even in challenging situations. Not all principles resonate with everyone, but I hope some find value for their journeys. 3 years in a -work anniversary has never felt so good! Happy third work anniversary to me! A work anniversary has never meant that much to me. But 3 years since founding House of Kitch, doing what I believe in and making it work, feels very special. Thanks to all of you who have believed in me, trusted me, shared with me, and been part of making it real Parexel PAREXEL International (India) Private Ltd It's hard to believe that 3 years have gone by already! Three beautiful and fulfilling years during which I have expanded my horizons both professionally and personally. Three years of gratitude for being part of this amazing company! Top 3 learnings: 1. You are the author of your own destiny:- I have been stretched more than ever before, and the uncertainty and ambiguity can be a major challenge. I have found that structuring my business around my purpose and staying true to that helps me get through the ambiguity. Some days it feels like this, but knowing why I am doing what I am doing is my compass, and it helps to bring others with me. 2.Doing what you believe in is exhilarating and exhausting at the same time:- They say that doing what you believe in doesn’t feel like work – and it doesn’t. But it can be really intense as everything matters so much more. The work that we do takes me on such intense journeys, and the connections are really strong. There is something about purpose that transcends effort. The challenge is there is no clocking on and clocking off, it’s a constant journey. The important thing is having people that I value on the journey with me. 3.Healthy body + healthy mind = healthy ideas:- You have to keep balance, mentally and physically – for me these two things are intertwined. When you are working continuously , it can be really hard to feel ok about breaking away from your desk to get some exercise or go outside for a walk. If you want to set your mind free, you really have to set yourself free first. Creativity comes from many different places – you usually have to leave your desk to find it. And then there are the times when you just need to switch off, and that takes its own discipline – one that I am still working on. Greatful! Dr. Shivani Bhola
