SpaceX will sell insider shares at $97 apiece in a tender offer, a price increase that boosts the value of Elon Musk’s space and satellite company closer to $180 billion, according to people familiar with the matter. The world’s second-most valuable closely held startup has been discussing a tender offer that could range from $500 million to $750 million, Bloomberg News reported on Dec. 6. The share price increased from the roughly $95 discussed last week, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the information is confidential. Despite numerous companies entering the space industry and advancements in landing and relaunching fairings and boosters, creating a reusable rocket still proves to be a challenging accomplishment. 🛰 SpaceTech Investment 🛰 Kurs Orbital, a Turin-based startup founded by Ukrainian space industry veterans, has closed a €3.7 million seed funding round to accelerate the commercialization of its satellite servicing technology. The round was led by OTB Ventures, and joined by Czech Credo Ventures, GALAXIA Mission Systems, and Inovo.vc. "Currently, there are no off-the-shelf rendezvous and docking technologies available, so any company that wants to offer satellite servicing or logistics missions has to develop this technology on its own. This would take years, many missions, people and money to achieve. 🚨 Investment alert 🚨 🚀 C4 Ventures is proud to announce its latest investment in Impulse Space , as part of an impressive $45 million Series A round alongside Founders Fund, RTX Ventures, Space Capital, Lux Capital and Airbus Ventures. 🛰 Impulse Space, founded in 2021 by former SpaceX co-founder & CTO Thomas Mueller, is at the forefront of the space transportation industry, offering agile and cost-effective space logistics services. 🌍 Impulse's initial and immediate focus lies in Low Earth Orbit (LEO), with a vehicle called Mira that is capable of delivering multiple payloads to unique orbits from a single launch. Using chemical propulsion, Mira will be able to perform a series of on-orbit tasks like last-mile payload delivery, payload hosting, low-altitude manoeuvres, and atmospheric re-entry. 🌙 Impulse's longer-term vision extends to providing services for payloads of all classes, facilitating journeys and operations to distant destinations such as the Moon. A mission to Mars is currently scheduled for 2026, in partnership with Relativity Space. Impulse will develop a Mars Cruise vehicle and a lander for that mission.
