Thanks to Eurometaux (European Metals Association), and all the speakers and attendees for delivering a good event discussing the EU's resilience for critical raw materials. There's a lot of heavy lifting to be done for 2030 and meeting the targets of the critical raw materials act. We are pleased to share that Aldwin Vogel, Regional General Manager, Europe has been featured in the inaugural edition of the "Sampling Science & Technology" (SST) magazine, the official communication platform of The International Pierre Gy Sampling Association (IPGSA). Aldwin’s article looks into the solutions implemented by Alfred H Knight for the sampling and analysis of Incinerator Bottom Ash - Non-Ferrous Metals Fraction (IBA-HNF) at our Sampling Hub facility in the Netherlands. Aldwin explains: “This article underscores the critical importance of representative sampling in compliance with the Theory of Sampling (TOS) and is essential in this case for the pivotal IBA-HNF material to the circular economy. Dr. Jennifer Hinton, our Group Manager ESG and Chair of the Cobalt Institute’s Responsible Sourcing and Sustainability Committee, has been asked to speak at the EIT RawMaterials Expert Forum on "Responsible Sourcing Driving Sustainable Change" in Prague, Czech Republic, on December 7-8, 2023.   EIT RawMaterials is a key European actor established in 2015 to advance Europe’s transition into a sustainable economy, with a specific focus on improving security of critical minerals supply to European industry. EIT RawMaterials has been mandated by the European Commission to lead and manage the European Raw Materials Alliance.
