I am so proud to be part of this company, with its very unique feel - a feel which I first 'felt' way back in 2005, when I was first recommended to use Market Measures as a supplier for a #Britax (children's car seats) customer and product research project. ... 9 years later, I was self-employed as a sales and marketing consultant, and Market Measures became one of my first clients. ... 8 years after that, Market Measures employed me. Right now I'm carrying out some customer research on our own client base - and this relationship longevity / keep coming back flavour (which my boss and CEO John Gurd talks emotively about below) is clearly becoming a key theme. I am starting to think Market Measures may have to have some sort of warning, rather than a strapline, which encompasses our clients and colleagues👇 ⚠ MARKET MEASURES - the insights agency you may never leave.... ⚠😂 #customerrelationships #workculture

Throwback Thursday: The melancholy-yet-optimistic Counting Crows lyric, “A long December and there's reason to believe maybe this year will be better than the last” always seemed an apropos descriptor for my end of year travel. The "last trip" was (and still is) about closing the year strong, preparing to impact the new year quickly, and celebrating wins with the closest of colleagues while precariously bumping up to the chaotic holiday travel window to get home (IYKYK). Some fond recollections include: Annual catch-up breakfasts with Tracy Ford at The Egg and I in Highlands Ranch. A couple back-to-back year-in-review meetings with Ken Sandfeld followed by dinner at White Chocolate Grill in Lone Tree before catching the red-eye from DIA home(ugh!). A Munich first, Sunnyvale next timezone challenger itinerary that culminated in yet another meet-up with Ken in Orange County in advance of our US group being merged into the parent company. (At least that was an early flight from LAX home!) The “We just booked a crew of models and photographers to do product beauty shots for cheap” dash to Corning’s facility in Hickory capped off by sushi with Kara Mullaley which proved the saying, “your eyes are bigger than your stomach” is true. The “Can you be in Miami tomorrow?” trip with Leland Scott Gregory to meet with Ron Pitcock and Paula I. Birth to kick off a fruitful project engagement. The long-overdue meet-up with Young-Man Cho to explore a business opportunity enhanced by a tasty lunch prepared by his wife and delivered to our meeting room by his son who was home from university for the holiday. To those currently on the road, I hope your travels home go smoothly.
