So what are the negative metrics you're leaving out. I live in NY State, the imperial , leftist regime, where we've lost manufacturing jobs at what seems like a staggering rate, what about nationwide? How many mfg jobs are still leaving the US, maybe not as many to China, but now to Mexico & other countries?

What does this sharp East-West dividing line correspond to? Is it due to the administrative demarcation of the states? To a abrupt change in the type of terrain?

If $326 billion was spent on R&D in the manufacturing industry in 2021 how much needs to be spent to make EVs a viable form of transportation taking in all factors in that evidently nearly half of EV owners said that they will not buy another EV next?

Thanks Jeff Winter for this valuable insight The US manufacturing sector is the engine that powers our economy. Employing 12.8 million people and contributing $2.89 trillion to GDP, itโ€™s a cornerstone of economic strength. Higher average compensation reflects its significant value. The sectorโ€™s growth and the $326 billion investment in R&D underscore its role in driving innovation and progress. These numbers affirm the vital importance and future potential of manufacturing.

For such a large impact, manufacturing still hasn't shed it's negative reputation and especially amoung young people, it is rarely a 'first job' destination. That is why I published www.industry4.me to get kids and their parents at least talking production...a window into a world many have never seen firsthand!
