As part of the Virginia Community Engagement Index (VCEI), we found that 51% of respondents had donated $25 or more in the past year to a nonpolitical cause. Only 8% of respondents reported that they haven't found a cause they care enough about to support financially. In short, when people can afford to, most are willing to invest in the causes they believe in through philanthropic support.
