Work with people who are better than you… and support their growth! I set goals for the next few years a few weeks ago, soon after my birthday. Since I was 20, I've approached planning in this manner. Now I've made or discovered goals for the next eight years, and more particularly, goals for the next 100 months;) The most crucial thing for me to do in order to achieve them is to be guided by values and ideals. Several aspects that are very significant to me have guided my professional activity over the years. One of them was to always work with individuals who were better than me, to promote their growth, and to ensure succession. After leaving Bahlsen Polska I was proud that Grzegorz Skorka accepted the position of Sales Director after me and Maciej Nowak started working as NKAM MT. After a period of dynamic work in transformation at Kompania Piwowarska Piwowarska, when I decided to move to Perfetti Van Melle, Wojciech Kamiński took over responsibility for my projects, and this was the best for the company's development. Zdzisław Krzan Krzan, my closest colleague and an outstanding manager and excellent leader, became sales director at Perfetti Van Melle Poland after I moved to Turkey. He develops the company incredibly, guaranteeing stability and excellent results. Unfortunately, Berkay Özdil, the incredible transformation leader of RTM and RGM, left Perfetti just two months after I moved to Amsterdam. Another company guaranteed his development and appreciated his competence. I've had and continue to have the privilege of working with many excellent folks. It is impossible to list all of them. I appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with you. Thank you very much for this, because I owe a lot of what I am now to you. Thank you for constantly learning how to improve yourself. And the only way to transcend oneself is via cooperation and trust. 'Do you know the difference in prize money between a Wimbledon Champion and Runner Up? – Before I share the story behind this question, let me set the context first. I have completed 11 years of my career in Unilever Bangladesh Limited today. This journey was full of challenges and opportunities. I always believed that the core source of my learning came from the interactions I had with people who had different perspectives and abilities. Therefore, I aim to recount a series of impactful encounters with both colleagues and influential leaders, pivotal moments that have played a substantial role in shaping my professional development and advancement. In 2013, upon joining Unilever as TTM, I had the privilege of participating in weeklong mentoring session led by one of the esteemed leaders in our industry, Mohsin Ahmed Bhai who was the acting Customer Development Director of that time. During a group session, he presented us with a P&L math problem to solve. While I responded swiftly, my answer proved to be incorrect. Upon identifying the step I had overlooked in my calculation, I instinctively remarked, 'oh! That’s a marginal error, somehow, I missed it,' reflecting my status as a recent graduate on my third day of employment. Mohsin bhai paused and posed a question: 'Do you know the difference in prize money between a Wimbledon Champion and Runner Up? The Runner Up receives exactly half (In the year 2013,16 million pound for the champion and exactly 8 million pound for the Runner Up), and the disparity between these figures represents that 'marginal Error.'’ That impactful statement resonated deeply with me, shaping my professional trajectory over the subsequent 11 years. I always Tried my level best to be that perfectionist in every role that I was given and avoid the pitfalls of 'Marginal Error' that distinguish the best from the merely good. I remain profoundly grateful for the leadership insights gleaned from such remarkable mentors, endeavoring each day to emulate those invaluable moments of guidance and inspiration. Thank you, Mohsin Ahmed Bhai, for your dedication and the valuable time you invest in grooming us.

Reflecting on My Career Journey My career is something that I am blessed with when it comes to the memories that have made me what I am today in my professionalism. From starting off in franchise management to leading multiple stores at O Boticario, each step has taught me invaluable lessons in perseverance, leadership, and innovation. For instance, I am grateful for having had the opportunity to work with outstanding teams and drive impactful projects that have immensely improved my strategic thinking along with problem-solving skills. Notably, there was a time when we initiated digital transformation at O Boticario which not only increased our sales but also improved customer satisfaction significantly. This project showed us the need for adaptability as well as being ahead of industry trends. Engaging oneself into continuous learning and taking up new challenges are some of the things that make people successful. Similarly, while progressing in my career journey, I pledge to promote innovation among other positive changes in my teams as well as the wider sector. We are diverse, we are stronger. Now that I have left Procter & Gamble for some years, I know what I learn from this experience. I could talk about great marketing leaders, and training... but it is not what left the deeper change in my understanding of the business world. I worked at a couple of European companies before, and what was the most striking was the multicultural aspect. You join P&G, and immediately, you work with hundreds of people from different countries and different horizons. It is not about Corporate Social Responsibility, it is about performance. A team is stronger when you have diverse people period. In Europe, you can admit other people because you want to look good in your corporate communication. In a true multinational company like P&G, you hire people from different cultures and backgrounds to be the best. I would have never thought of that before joining P&G, I would have structured my business the same way without this experience, and I would have probably completely crashed the company with only "Like me" people at emazing. We will succeed not despite of our diversity, but because of it.

I joined Burberry in Sep 2017. When I was invited to London for an on-boarding program, I was truly impressed by a single slide in the presentation:   𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆?   The iconic Trench? The fascinating stories of 160+ years of history? Yet, the answer that resonated most deeply with me was clear—   𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆.   During my time at Burberry, I was fortunate to work alongside exceptional leaders like Philippe de Saint Lager and Jonas Zagury.   Their guidance and support made me a highly engaged employee.   Today, as an external service provider for Burberry, 𝗠𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗜 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.   I was invited by another amazing leader, Anita Fung, who is a shining example of women in leadership.   🏋🏻♂️ The preparation for this leadership workshop has been a labor of dedication and commitment   Not so because   ❌it’s a huge team of 100 store leaders, coming from more than 10 markets ❌there are simultaneous interpreters to convey my speech in Mandarin, while I deliver workshop in English (although the vice-versa is also possible) ❌the quality of this conference reflects my reputation as a workshop facilitator   But because   ❤️🔥𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀.   💯They work tirelessly on day and night shifts, 7/7. 💯They exhibit a wide array of strengths, including clienteling, and effective people leadership. 💯They handle challenging responsibilities such as late night stock-count and managing customer complaints.   𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.   Hey teams! The conference is about to start in 30 minutes.   I want to convey my sincere wishes for an enriching and successful learning experience.   Here's to a conference filled with inspiration and growth for all!   #BurberryConference #Burberry #LeadershipConference #RetailLeadership #ProfessionalDevelopment #PeopleFirst #Teamwork #Inspiration #EmployeeEngagement #LearningOpportunity #WomenInLeadership #ClientExperience #Dedication #Commitment #Luxury #TrainingConsultant
