Yesterday, after 10 extra bonus days in my 9th year as MVP, I finally received the email confirming I was renewed for another year! My 10th, so I'll be adding a 2nd blue disc to my pile of year rings. I want to thank everyone who helped make this possible. Marcel de Vries and Rene Van Osnabrugge from Xebia for always coming up with new events, activities and plans to engage with the community. The Global DevOps Experience this year was awesome and there was a large team involved with that Erick Segaar, Sofie Wisse, Kees Verhaar, Roy Cornelissen, Michiel van Oudheusden ☁️ and many others. And Geert van der Cruijsen and Matthijs van der Veer for starting up the AI Seasonal Jams. We really need to add a blue-berry-jam to the participants gift basket. 👾 Rob Bos, Maik Müller, Rich Schwarz, Charlton Trezevant and many others for their activity in the GitHub space. There's also a large group of hidden gems that help me, first and foremost Charlotte Houwing who lets me wander the world and is my tether to the world. My 2 greatest kids, Lily and Mika, who will surely start travelling with me at some point.🌈 Maira D. for always asking me how I'm doing when I need that question most. Jasper Gilhuis for being a rockstar of steadiness at work. The Xebia Academy team for keeping my work schedule busy with interesting people to meet, inspire and train: Femke Bender, Evelien Acun-Roos, Laurens Bonnema, Jurriaan Bernson, Wouter van Bommel, Wesley Van de Pol, Michiel Zeinstra. Many folks in the Open Source and MVP community. And of course the community outside of Microsoft/GitHub, the folks at Scrum.org and nlscrum and the Scrum community in general, Dave West, Sabrina Love, Daphne Harris, Patricia Kong, Steve Porter, Glaudia Califano Stas Pavlov ツ and too many others. You let me connect with so many people and organizations I learn from and may listen to me. And of course all my friends over at Microsoft and GitHub, it's a pleasure every time we meet Martin Woodward, Anisha Pindoria, Josh Sommer, Anna Marzona, Dan Hellem, Marco Cappelletto. LinkedIn won't let me mention any more people, but there are so many. It's all of these people that let us be an MVP. Without them all of this wouldn't be possible. I thank you all for the privilege you've given me for the 10th year in a row. Next time we meet, let's have a drink and toast to the future.
Congratulations, Jesse! If I were running my own personal MVP program for all the friends and mentors I truly admire, you’d be getting another disk :)
Congrats!
