As the search continues finding that "perfect fit" can feel like finding a needle in a haystack. When sifting through endless job titles and descriptions, some days, a few hours can be so emotionally exhausting, resembling a 12-hour shift and with just a couple of resumes to show for it. But hey, the world keeps spinning, we keep moving forward because anything worth having is worth the effort. One thing that I have noticed in reviewing open positions is that that Clarity is key. I have been surprised as to how many organizations aren't clear in terms of what they are looking for - especially when looking at roles like Enterprise Account Managers, Sales Specialists, Account Executives, Strategic Account Managers, and Client Success Managers. As the sales position has evolved and become more strategic in the overall success of an organization, it would make sense they all share similar responsibilities, but it is important to understand what the differences are. Let's dive in and uncover what sets them apart. (with the help of Chat GPT... of course) A) Enterprise Account Manager: Skilled in managing corporate relationships, they navigate complexities, build connections, and customize solutions for large-scale clients. B) Sales Specialist: Industry experts with profound knowledge, Sales Specialists guide clients through intricate solutions within specific industries or product domains. C) Account Executive: Proactive deal-makers, Account Executives pursue opportunities with determination and charisma, closing deals and fostering business growth. D) Strategic Account Manager: Architects of long-term partnerships, they collaborate closely with clients to understand objectives and develop strategic plans for mutual success. E) Client Success Manager: Dedicated to post-sale satisfaction, they ensure seamless transitions and provide ongoing support, offering empathetic problem-solving to ensure client success. But how does this streamline ones job search? Truthfully, it's a work in progress. That said, I'd love to hear your thoughts on these definitions, as variations are aplenty. After talking with a client. I have a serious question here and would LOVE your answer: If a job states, for example, CFO why ON EARTH would a Customer Service Representative apply? You are making my job easier as companies are complaning they aren't getting the right candidates through the job boards but WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS? I'm excited to announce that I will be taking on a new role as a National Account Executive with HireProHealth. I could write a short story, but who wants to read all that! I will keep it pretty short - Here are a few lessons that have impacted me the greatest over the last few years as a Recruiter. 😊 1. People will be unreliable time and time again. As long as you are doing your job and following through as you should be - let it go, move on, and find better. 2. You will never be able to help everyone, but the people you do help - build rapport with and grow relationships. A healthy business relationship can turn into referrals, leads, or simply genuine connections that could lead to so much more. 3. TIME - Time is SO valuable. Make sure the time you are spending is time well spent. This is a lesson you do not necessary achieve off the bat, but a lesson you can continuously educate yourself on and make adjustments as you learn and grow. **** Fast forward nearly 2 years and I could not be more excited to learn and grow as a National Account Executive. **** I am beyond thankful to work alongside such a fantastic group of people that want to put in the hard work to see success, who keep an encouraging and positive mindset, and who want to learn and grow from each other.
