Helping Working Parents Thrive | Writer And Professional Speaker | Rule Breaker

When was the last time you took a guilt-free break? If you have to think for more than five seconds, keep reading. We typically think that breaks are for the weak. Rule #45: Needing to pause = You can't cut it In our hustle-obsessed culture, we've bought into the myth that non-stop grinding equals success, and pausing means falling behind. What if we saw breaks differently? No 'I've earned this' or 'I need to recharge for tomorrow's insanity.' Instead of seeing breaks as an input to productivity, we see them as just something that is... good! What do you think... Do you take guilt-free breaks? 🙋♀️ Check out my latest Rule Breaker newsletter for the full deets on this.

YYYYYYEEEEEESSSSSS! Your newsletter today was everything. I thought a break (coupled with therapy, exercise and other things) was the antidote to my burnout. It was all I would need to get back on my feet, return to my same job and to once again be productive, right? WRONG. Your newsletter helped me frame something I have struggled with for a while: seeing breaks as a means of being more productive is just another take on "earning rest". Breaks are just GOOD. For no other reason.
