What a fantastic evening meeting author (and product legend) Marty Cagan! Key learnings from this evening's talk: 🚀 Start with fixing delivery, and move to consistent releases to prove the model to key stakeholders. Empower product managers to stop project managing. 🔍Move to fixing how we solve problems by empowering product teams to prototype and test frequently before any building. Solving for feasibility, usability, and viability is key in this step. 🎯 Now the model is proven, tackle product strategy and how we choose the right problems to solve by defining a clear and detailed product vision, creating a team topology where each team has OKR's that link to a true business objective, and empowering these teams to make decisions for how to reach those goals. What a great experience to share "High Performing Teams" together with Tony Aksoy, M.B.A. and Jimmy Sigwid to the product development department at Voyado on the other day! Inspired from the training and content by Jan Grape and Marcus Castenfors at Crisp AB we decided to spread the knowledge across the organisation. ROTI (Return On Time Invested) is a good and short way of evaluating the session where each participant rated the session on a scale to 1-5. We landed on an average 4 but our follow-up question "What would it take you to rate a 5?" gave us some insights on what to improve til next time. #empoweredteams #continuousimprovement

I spent an incredible weekend with 1,000 fellow product managers at the Product Heroes Conference ✨ I originally wanted to talk about the amazing people I met and the inspiring speeches, but I've got one key lesson to share: 𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗱, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗮𝗻 🦸 (Thanks Fabrice for the metaphor🙏) This doesn't mean we're not heroes. Quite the opposite! Alfred always plays a crucial role in helping Batman to save Gotham. But you see him only when it needs to be seen. 𝗔𝗹𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 “𝗪𝗲” 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 “𝗠𝗲.” And it's what we should do every day as well: 👉 Focus on what our customers really need (Gabrielle Gleysteen) 👉 Take care of our people, actively listen, and empower them (Maria Arnaoutaki) 👉 Work together instead of fighting (Mattia Tommasone) Huge thanks to Marco, Daniele, and the incredible Product Heroes and Edgemony teams for pushing the product culture in Italy one step further.
