The ongoing plight of Palestinians is often overshadowed by biased narratives. The cruelty faced by innocent civilians in Palestine at the hands of Israeli forces is a humanitarian crisis that demands our attention and action. 💔 Homes destroyed, lives lost, children traumatized – the suffering is real. Yet, many in the West turn a blind eye, displaying stark double standards in their advocacy for human rights. When will we recognize that supporting justice for Palestine is supporting humanity? 🗣️ It’s time to raise our voices, demand unbiased reporting, and call out the hypocrisy. One of the best lessons I’ve learned: Never be afraid to ask for help. And this applies institutionally as well. Too often, organizations believe that they know the right way to do things and have the smartest experts. During the 2014 Ebola crisis, the team's biggest insights and breakthroughs came from local communities on the ground in Liberia, not from large international organizations. By staying humble and seeking help, we were able to save hundreds of thousands of lives. Keep this in mind next time you’re trying to solve a problem: be willing to take help from everyone.

Today is International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people. I am a proud member of a growing global coalition of DEI, Anti-oppression, Anti-racist, Decolonial, Equity-based, Social Justice, and Trauma-informed practitioners against the occupation of Palestine. #DEIagainstOccupation Thank you Iman Bukhari ایمان بخاری for bringing us together. Our role as practitioners is to ensure that we apply a social justice lens to our work. This lens encourages us to take a deep look at how historical structures and policies create advantages for some and disadvantages for others, understand where our own privilege and non-privileges show up due to these structures and policies, and decide what we need to do to centre those who’ve been historically excluded. We can’t talk about creating diverse, inclusive, and equitable spaces without using a social justice lens. Cultivating and practicing this lens is an ongoing process that requires individual and collective reflection and accountability. Without it, the DEI acronym will continue to be overused and lose its meaning. As a coalition, we express our unwavering solidarity with Palestinians for their liberation and self-determination. Today marks the International Day of Living Together in Peace🕊.   Living together in peace requires embracing diversity and possessing the capacity to attentively acknowledge, honour, and value others while living in a peaceful and united way. On behalf of the German Government and through the Civil Peace Service-Prevention of Internal Displacement programme, GIZ Ethiopia & Djibouti supports peacebuilding and conflict transformation efforts. Activities include providing capacity-building trainings for local authorities & community members. The programme has so far supported the training of 570 members– 45% of whom are women– of local peace committees, and women & youth platform members in Sidama ,Oromia, and South Ethiopia regions. The trainings focused on dialogue and conflict transformation mechanisms As a result, local authorities and peace committees at Kebele level initiated peace dialogue and conflict transformation mechanisms which led to resolving six local conflicts. The efforts reached more than 19000 people. The reconciliation efforts carried out by religious leaders and community elders we work with in the aforementioned regions resulted in up to 90% of the targeted displaced persons returning to their homes. In an interview from last week on the Kuwaiti network Al-Qabas, Hamas Isis leader Khaled Mashaal presents his manifest: "Palestine from the river to the sea, from the north to the south." there is no such thing as a two-state solution. Even the supporters of the Palestinian protests around the world say this, From the river to the sea... So how is it that the Americans and the other naives repeatedly try the same solution and expect a different outcome? The Palestinians have proven that they are not interested in a two-state solution, they never were, they are only interested in one state solution for one people, Their slogan also says it very clearly, "From the river to the sea Palestine will be free" Did you notice that all the refugees who fled for their lives from all the broken Arab/Muslim countries to Europe and the United States support Palestine? (in mass protests in Western countries) There is already a state for the Arabs of the region that was established in 1947, it is called Jordan and it is the real Palestine, Therefore there is no point in creating another Arab state, It is required to think outside the box and change the disk that has not worked for the last 70 years, It is required to disperse the Palestinians to the local states in the region, and to absorb them as full-ordinary citizens and to end the refugee status. Some to Egypt 🇪🇬, and some to Jordan🇯🇴, and some to Lebanon🇱🇧, and some to Syria🇸🇾, and even to Iraq 🇮🇶, and Yemen 🇾🇪, and to the rest pro Palestine countries 🇩🇿🇮🇷🇵🇰🇹🇷🇹🇳... There is no hatred here, just common sense and pure logic and a desire to solve the problem that arose after the 1950s. If you really care about the welfare of the Palestinians, free them from the clutches of Hamas Isis. which loots the financial aid coming from the world, and uses the Palestinian population, especially babies, children and women as human shields. while promoting the goals of terrorism and digging tunnels instead of investing in infrastructure. #culture #leadership #journalism

Something that I openly struggle with. Something we all need to do. Often asking for help is viewed as a weakness. When we ask for help, it doesn’t show we’re weak, it shows strength. It shows we’re strong enough to deal with the problem/issue head on.
