After attending Deloitte’s Chief Data & Analytics Officer (CDAO) Leadership Academy last week, I found myself profoundly grateful for not only the team that put it together (I’m looking at you Anjali Shaikh, Lou DiLorenzo, Juan Tello, Steve Pratt, Andrew Do Vartika Vats, Rebecca Cieply, Kristi Lamar, Stephanie Perrone Goldstein, and Andrew Martin Peel) but also the opportunity to explore #AI in the data and analytics space. Here are a few of my main takeaways from the event: 1) AI’s macro effects will shape the way we lead: I had the pleasure of moderating a thought-provoking panel discussion with Ryan Swann, Vanguard’s CDAO, and Colin Kelton, Vanguard's CMO, and we covered everything from identifying and investing in high-impact data partnerships to innovative ways of creating business value. In the evolving #tech landscape, it’s safe to say leaders that incorporate forward-looking strategies in their overall business practices will stand out from the rest. 2) The future is now: While we like to dream about the effects tech will have 5 to 10 years down the road, the real-world impacts are happening here and now. During our breakout sessions, I was invigorated by the topics our teams brought up, their diverse perspectives, and how they think about integrating technology into their daily lives. I enjoyed exploring how tech’s shaping the way we live, work, and interact with the world around us. As I’ve developed a career in tech, my growth has hinged on the ability to keep an open mind and learn from those around me. This CDAO Leadership Academy was a welcomed reminder of these lessons and I’m grateful for my colleagues who made this possible. #Leadership #Data #Analytics
