Transformational Executive & Leadership Coach | Helping leaders and organizations build a center that drives results

The day after I was laid off I felt this intense and frantic need to find the next thing. Right now. Maybe if I got a new job fast enough I, and everyone else, could pretend I hadn’t been laid off. Or, if I didn’t start the job search right now it would mean I was headed towards financial ruin for my family. Or…  well you get the point.  The pressure was there. I’m here to tell you, if you can, take some time. In those first few days or weeks the temptation to ignore your own needs, the fit of a new role, or the value of what you have to offer is going to be high. In those first few days or weeks you’ll still be mourning the loss of your job and professional connections. In those first few days or weeks you’ll still be trying to make sense of your own emotions. Take some time. Take care of yourself and process everything you’re feeling. Reach out to your family, friends, and network to reconnect. Listen to your supporters and find your confidence in your superpowers again. Ask for help and accept support. If you need help working through your own experiences, message me here or grab some time with the link  below: https://lnkd.in/gPkpR2Sq I recently posted that I would give anyone who was laid off 2 free coaching sessions, and that offer remains open.  If you know others who might need help, share or reshare this post! #laidoff #Centered
