Data Centre Operator of the year recognises an operator; colocation, regional or global, enterprise or hyperscale, that stands out within one or more of the following areas: Impact: The accolade evaluates the impact of the data centre operator on the industry, the environment, and the society. This could include metrics such as resource usage effectiveness, carbon intensity reduction, clean energy transition, energy savings, social responsibility, customer satisfaction, and or industry leadership. It could demonstrate a willingness to offer innovative developments such as offering customers services tailored to their needs (e.g. Tier III where needed but Tier 1 or Tier II when higher Tier redundancy is not necessary). Excellence: The accolade showcases the data centre operator that has achieved the highest standards of environmental impact, quality, safety, and professionalism in their projects and operations. This could include new industry standards, compliance certifications, industry accreditations, recognitions of outstanding performance from authorities, or innovation in design or services yet to be recognised as a standard within the industry.
