Today is DAY 26 of #31in31 for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Awareness plus action will lead to social change. Be aware. Encourage others to be aware. Be active; actually do something – say something, volunteer and/or donate. Encourage others to be active – to say something, volunteer and/or donate. 🔹♦️🌺🌺🌈💫⚡Yes, it is important to help the poor people. There are many ways to help them. One of the ways is to donate money to charities that help the poor. Charities use the money to provide food, shelter, and other basic necessities to the poor. Another way is to volunteer your time to help the poor. You can volunteer at a soup kitchen, a homeless shelter, or a food bank. You can also donate clothes, books, and other items to the poor. Helping the poor is a great way to show humanity and kindness.🔹🔹🔹‼️ ♦️♦️♦️🌎🌎🌎🌎🌎🌎♦️♦️♦️

Gravamen has some *values*. (Or maybe they're more like goals?) Unfortunately the more connected we become, the less singularly focussed we seem to become as a society. So sometimes it takes something small to bring us all together and back “singing from the same hymn sheet”. So 7 times this year, I will post something like this to my over 500 connections, asking for a small donation to our charity of choice. Before Christmas, a few years ago, a US policeman was called to a shop to arrest a family that hadn't scanned all their groceries. They told him they didn't have enough money to make a Christmas dinner for their children. He let them off with a warning and then used his own money to purchase them a gift card so they could buy what they needed for their Christmas dinner. Take inspiration from this story, and improve your life this year by helping someone. Feeling that we make a difference is the single factor that most positively affects our image of ourselves. The effect is strongest if we can directly see the difference we make. That's why contributing time to a homeless shelter improves your life more than donating money to an abstract cause. Find your way to make a difference.

Partnerships like this are the lifeblood for rehabilitation. Well done to all.
