I’d be remiss if I didn’t celebrate a huge win for my colleagues at both Prime Video and Amazon Music on that live stream yesterday with Kendrick Lamar and what seemed like all of the west coast music and sports industry talent. I’ve been a part of some huge productions and I’m old enough to have witnessed some pretty history moments of tv meeting music like Motown25. Witnessing the stream and the social commentary had a very similar feel of unity around good music and the creation of moments that became iconic in real time. So to the people I know like my fellow Amazonians Mike Hopkins, Byron Merritt, Phylicia Fant, and Jameka Pankey (She/Her) and the many I don’t, I salute you on a job well done. That, my friends, was a reminder that it is indeed always #Day1. #KenAndFriends #ThePopOut #TheyNotLikeUs 📸 (Armen Keleshian // Complex)
As a Bay Area native, this was wild 💛especially on Juneteenth. Congrats for sure 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This was huge on so many levels, and was everything I didn't know I needed to celebrate Juneteenth. ✊🏾 #ForTheCulture #TheyNotLikeUs
Many don’t understand how iconic this moment was in hip hop, in music, and in black culture generally. Well done!
Salute! This was an iconic global moment for the culture, music and streaming, simultaneously. 🚀 We will all remember this Juneteenth.

1moAbsolutely dope! Why was I at Cannes and completely missed this. 🤦🏽♀️ Phylicia Fant you gotta keep me looped in sis! Didn’t we run into each other on Juneteenth? This could’ve been a dope watch party in France. 😤 Next time. 🙏🏽
