Rattled Beats Show Statistics I've done some analysis on the data collected for the past 9.5 years for the Rattled Beats Shows. I've broken down the analysis into three phases: All-Time (9.5 Years), Past 12 Months and Past 30 Days. The data has shown we are working the system Outside-Inside. Meaning, the All-Time statistics is heavily based on world-wide exposure and is now trending to USA focus. This correlates very well with the Commercials and Advertisements that are now becoming blues music influenced. The Rattled Beats Show is averaging over 27k listeners per weekly show. That equates to a full capacity Basketball Arena. How does theatrical reinvent itself to compete with the current environment? One innovative evolution I’m bullish on: turning theatrical releases into shorter-window, multi-episode events. After all, if streamers have redefined “series” as “multi-part, 8-hour movies distributed weekly” why can’t theatrical movies redefine themselves similarly? Sam Mendes’ newly announced Beatles quadrilogy (all 4 features to be released in 2027), isn’t even the first experiment of its kind. This year we’ll get Kevin Costner’s HORIZON: Part One out June 28th 2024, Part Two out Aug 16th 2024… both films released a mere seven weeks apart. Can you imagine a world where the next Lord of the Rings or Star Wars trilogy isn’t spaced out over 3 years, but instead 6-12 months? A world where a major release isn’t a weekend event, but rather a months-long or year-long event? There’s been much hand-wringing over the decline of theatrical. That audiences simply don’t value that experience anymore. I’ve never subscribed to that. But I do think streaming (and a noisy, oversaturated, siloed environment in general) has absolutely changed what is necessary to create a truly unmissable entertainment/cultural event. Whether this sort of multi-film, accelerated release-schedule has the power to break through the noise remains to be seen, but I’m very excited to see theatrical distribution taking these type of big, innovative swings.

My kids attend the fabulous SOUNDS Academy, learning to play the violin and piano respectively. Extracurricular activities like music lessons provide a channel for reinforcing the lessons learned in the classroom, offering students the opportunity to apply academic skills in a real-world context. Recent research suggests that participation in extracurricular activities may increase students' sense of engagement with their school, thereby decreasing the likelihood of school failure and dropping out. #musiceducation #extracurricularactivities #educationresearch

So, I co-directed a primary school play for two years in a row, involving over 200 kids. Yep, over 200! Year one: Parents were skeptical, thinking such a large-scale production would be a disaster. Spoiler alert—it wasn't. By the second term, we saw a complete transformation in the students. They became: 1. More confident 2. Evolved and risk-takers 3. Better team players 4. Creative problem solvers 5. Improved communicators 6. Stronger in their empathy and understanding 7. More resilient School theater plays aren't just about looking "cool" (though they do). They contribute massively to a child's overall character development, even for those without major roles. Plus, they're fantastic marketing material for the school! And oh, did I mention both our plays (Aladdin and The Lion King) were musicals? The students didn't just act—they sang their hearts out, elevating their musical skills to new heights. These songs were recorded and produced in an actual studio. Here's to the power of school theater and the amazing growth it fosters in our kids! Here's a snippet from The Lion King.
