Candidate: "I'm pretty passive right now, but I'm open to a quick chat?" Recruiter: Recruiting is all about relationships and conversations... You may have a conversation with a recruiter and nothing happens for 2 weeks, a few months, or even a year down the line. The best recruiters I know, rarely start a new search without having candidates they've talked to in the past that might be a fit. Whether you are recruiting or job searching, having a strong network to call on is crucial! So next time a recruiter reaches out, (Excluding the messages you get that are clearly SPAM) take the call and spend some time networking and hearing about the market... Recruiting is relationships and relationships are the long game. I believe in ABC, Always be Connecting. (Unless it's linkedin where they cap connections at 30k... 🤷♂️)
