Today was filled with great entrepreneurial pitches by the TOP 50 #SwissStartups selected by the W.A. de Vigier Foundation. So many familiar familiar faces, including ones I coach and support, with many new entrepreneurs to get to meet each year. 🔬👫 I was surprised that there was not a lot of talk about the AI compared to most events I attend. There were no discussions about AI-first startups. There was more AI integration in healthcare startups and digital ones, and I missed AI integration in most of the sustainability focused ones where I feel we badly need such integrations to drive sustainability across industries and geographies. 🧬🧩 We are at an interesting time in AI technology development and integration. Some of us, impact focused professionals, armed with leading methodologies and tools are build and supporting AI-first companies and do not understand why others are not doing the same, but we need to accept that it takes most of the knowledge a few years to reach the rest of the world and we can only do what we can do each day. ⏰ The head start of those who can already integrate AI-first principles will hopefully help them to outcompete the rest, as we were taught at #hbs. Congratulations to Kevin Hof, Christopher Wall and Alexandre Aubert at #mavenhealth for leading the way as an AI-first startup and for the great pitch today. 💡 “Need is the mother of all inventions.” as my grandpa used to say. Perhaps you didn’t know this about me but I come from a family of innovators. 💡 My grandfather - the most notorious one - held over 40 patents. At the end of his life he focused a lot on the ideation process and wrote a series of articles about it. 👉 Why are some more innovative than others and what is innovation? And here is from me, 𝐦𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: 👉 Why are some ORGANISATIONS  more innovative than others? Not only ideas matter-> 👉 Why do some ORGANISATIONS make innovations happen better than others? (This spans into my hobby of mentoring startups too). Here is my take: NEED. You NEED to NEED the innovation. 🔥 WHAT IF you set a strategy so bold that without the innovation you will not be able to execute accordingly/completely/satisfyingly. Here is also from McKinsey: “Are you setting bold aspirations that can only be reached through innovation? In just one short month, they've achieved remarkable progress, with each startup engaging in productive discussions with at least two interested business customers. 🚀 More than 40 introductory meetings have already taken place, and some have already advanced to follow-up meetings to delve deeper into the hypotheses that will be tested through upcoming pilots.
