ABP's Team Behind the Scenes In today’s competitive corporate climate, a lot of emphasis has been placed on a company’s sales team. They are the ones traveling to negotiate deals, giving presentations, always on Zoom calls and constantly following up on leads. Let’s face it, salespeople are the face of the company. However, behind every successful salesperson is a team that supports that salesperson. Without this team, there would be no growth. No success. No wins. With this said, Advanced Building Products, Inc. would like to take the opportunity to highlight our team behind the scenes. The true rock stars that keep our company thriving and growing year after year. So, without further ado, I would like to introduce Marcel Legere. Twenty years ago, Marcel walked through our doors and applied for the Comptroller position here at Advanced. He had a tremendous amount of experience in accounting and inventory management from the global company he worked for previously. We knew Marcel was our guy after the first interview, but we were hesitant. He was replacing our longtime Comptroller who decided to make a career change. Needless to say, Marcel had big shoes to fill. Well, twenty years later and I can honestly say not only did Marcel fill those shoes, but he outgrew those shoes years ago. Marcel’s dedication to this company and his co-workers has made him an invaluable asset to Advanced Building Products. Recently, Marcel was promoted to the position of Chief Financial Officer here at Advanced Building Products. A promotion well deserved and quite frankly, years in the making. Can't name names due to privacy and industry rules but got a great text from a former client over the weekend... They hired me last year for some go to market strategies as they had a six month window to recapture past clients and land new ones after switching financial service companies. Their carrot was big so motivation was high. 🎯 Their goal was to hit $125M in assets under management. 🏊♀️ We took a deep dive into what they were doing, what worked, what didn't, what they thought about trying, and what they had the resources to pull off. 🧭 Then we created a plan that included content, some video, some direct out reach, and some center of influence work. ⚾️ 3 months later they were on their own knocking it out of the park. 🏆 4 months after our last session I got the note they had hit their goal!! (see below) 🐐 This weekend I got the note they crossed $150,000,000 AAM and are in the top 3 growth offices of their firm again.
