Strategic marketeer and PR specialist, passionate about creating and executing creative marketing plans and transforming brands
Hi everyone Today has been a bit of a whirlwind - I was invited to a company update this afternoon, only to find out the company I was working for is to be a company no more. I had no idea today was going to be my last day at Impact - it was quite a shock to me and my colleagues, to say the least. But, onward and upward... I'm now on the lookout for a new role and would really appreciate your support. If you know of any marketing, brand, or PR vacancies, I'd be very grateful for the heads up! I’m open to remote, hybrid, or local opportunities in Norwich. I’m eager to jump straight back into the saddle and can start right away. Any support will be massively appreciated. #OpenToWork

137% !!!
SOUTH SUDAN - ECONOMIC SITUATION South Sudan is expected to continue to be a hyper-inflationary economy in 2024; and the World Economic Outlook (WEO) are saying that the three-year cumulative inflation is expected to increase significantly, to 137% in 2024. 137% !! As you can guess, this is playing havoc with our project cost estimates for the new school fence and toilets, but we will continue to fund-raise, and we will get there! Want to help? Here's a link to our new website at rootssudan. An enormous thanks to everyone who has donated recently - the JustGiving page does not reflect what has come into our bank account, so sorry if your support was not acknowledged
We've updated our website to make it easier to engage with and support us. And we have now fixed the 'not secure' issue! There is also now just one link to our JustGiving page, and we would like to thank everyone who has donated recently. The JustGiving site doesn't reflect the amount of giving that has come into our bank account (!), so if you haven't received a 'thank you' acknowledgement, our apologies, and a massive thanks. https://rootssudan.org/ #southsudan #education #sustainableschooling

News from the school in Yei supported by Roots Sudan.
News from the school in Yei... Immanuel Kindergarten, the school that we are helping to support in Yei, South Sudan, recently reported on one project that we helped to fund, and two more coming up that we are looing to raise finance for. First, the completed project - the new bookshop building. It is now complete and serving customers. They say how it makes a big difference to profits not to have to pay rent and the addition of a room that can be used as a small café is proving to be a huge success and will make a significant contribution to the school budget. From the photographs we have seen, it looks fantastic! The two new projects: 1. One of the new staff has some expertise and interest in agriculture so is developing the small school garden to support the feeding programme in school. Part of being able to fully implement this plan is to construct a much needed new fence (which is now broken in many places and does not currently fence all the school land) to enclose all the school land giving opportunity to extend the play area which was reduced when the new building was constructed and allow the team to develop the little garden into more of a farm. The long term plan is that this feeds the children but also surplus could be sold and used to support the school budget. 2. There is urgent need for some more latrines to be constructed as staff are currently sharing with the children. The toilets are now very old and need renovating and there aren’t enough for the numbers of children now attending the school. Interested in supporting us? Just pop over to our Just Giving page and give what you can. Remember, every single penny goes to the work of this school, we take no expenses from donations. https://lnkd.in/eHgQskwJ

The Infrastructure and Projects Authority (IPA) has today published a new framework which sets out how AI will be harnessed to boost productivity in public project delivery. 💡 The framework enables civil servants working on public projects to utilise AI to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their delivery. It also encourages responsible experimentation with AI to find solutions to the biggest challenges in public projects. The report is co-authored with the Central Digital and Data Office (CDDO), the Major Projects Association and the Association for Project Management. Input has also been received from the No.10 Data Science Team, and wider consultation across government, industry and academia. Karina Singh, Director of Function, Insights & Profession at the IPA says: “This paper cuts through the noise to provide a framework of actions we can use to experiment with and upskill project delivery professionals to get the most out of this fast-moving development.” See the framework's five commitments below and read the full report on GOV.UK: https://lnkd.in/eWzigu2P #AI #Data #ProjectDelivery #GovernmentProjects #APM #MPA #CDDO #IPA #Digital #GovernmentProjectDelivery
