I rarely post on this platform anymore, but sometimes you need to shed light on shady tactics. I hope that everyone is having a good Wednesday, other than the liars and scammers from The Blinc Group. First and foremost, they are lying to cannabis operators at every level by saying that they manufacture any piece of hardware they sell. Check out any video with Arnaud where he starts off by saying that Blinc is a vape manufacturer. They don't own any manufacturing facilities in China, so they are simply middlemen in getting hardware made. Unlike trying to buy hash from a legacy provider, all you have to do is reach out directly to the manufacturer to avoid Blinc's middleman margin, since they are happy to work with you. What type of value is created for a cannabis company by getting ripped off on Chinese made vape hardware through a middleman? A prime example of their scamming ways is this situation. I convinced my good friend TJ Fisker at Mountain Select to start buying the XProV12 OG that I developed, now known as the Spec OG cartridge, from Blinc. I was given a price of $2.26/unit for this .5g 510 rosin cartridge from Blinc for 10k units. When they were ready to ship, Blinc asked for an additional $2k from Mountain Select to cover shipping and duties. This seemed pretty outrageous from my experience with importing 10k cartridges since that is more along the lines of what that would be for 50k cartridges. I priced the shipping and duties out from an actual forwarding company and was able to get this order delivered to my clients in Colorado for $600, saving Mountain Select $1400 instantly on this delivery. I promptly left Blinc after this, as I don't agree with my friends getting ripped off. On their next order I had TJ Fisker reach out directly to Smiss, the actual manufacturer of the XproV12 OG/Spec OG cartridge. They were able to get the exact same cartridge delivered to them in Colorado for $0.90/unit landed. This saved them $15,600 on a single order, and again, they received the exact same piece of hardware, they just weren't paying Blinc's middleman margin. Based on their ordering schedule of once every two months, this was able to save my friends $93,600/year for the exact same hardware they were receiving previously. If you have a full-time procurement person and they are trying to have you buy hardware from Blinc, I would be extremely upset at their laziness to not try to find the actual manufacturer of the hardware you need. For small craft operators, hiring a procurement person is just not feasible. I figure that most companies simply don't know who manufactures Blinc's hardware, so here's a list of who manufactures their common devices: Spec/Spec OG/ Spec Rx-Smiss Sausr-Itsuwa Qleo-Smok Aio Flex/Flex Rx/Flex OG-Smiss Aio Sly-Ukera/Joyetech Aio Lil Sly-Nextvapor $93,600 in savings for a company that buys 60k cartridges a year. Fuck all of the liars and scammers in this industry 🖕
