‘No pain, no gain’, FALSE, ignore it. A very inspiring TED, less than 20 mins showing you the underestimated importance of enjoying, passion, persistence compared to the damaging, toxic and often no results approach of pushing ourselves always at the extreme suffering and painful training. During the pandemic, I’ve started to run again since decades, and I found my self enjoying so much 10k amateur running events around London. The easy, relaxed, slow, green zone training is the most relevant and the one in which we should spend most of the time; it’s the time which build up the power to deal with the extremes and to reach our best results. It’s a lesson which can be translated also to other fields; for example in business. Too many are overlooking the pain and askingnconstantly for extreme performances, forgetting how many damages can create. Also in both our daily jobs and life duties we find ourselves running fast and pushing faster. Too many underestimate the importance to finding the green zone and spend long time there, because from that slow, relaxed time finally depend the best results. We are a product of our lifestyle and the sports we take part in. We mould our form into these positions, then we experience pain or injury due the excessive repetitive movement. For example if tennis is your sport, you will be moulding yourself into rotation and then you may feel you need physio to help you with an injury, if this position has been over used. You need to do those movements to serve that sport, to play well but the key is to know how to reset your body pattern after that sport as that function no longer serves you once you have finished.
