2wEveryone's situation is different. 2005>'08 Back when People were busy with A.R.M.'s I was dating a Loan Officer. In 2006 she said "I can get you $600,000 based upon your FICO. It was an easy discussion "That's more than 300% of my Gross Income.. I cannot afford it". Her retort? Oh!!! You just don't know ☢ ☣ ☢ ABOUT MONEY!!! Funny... Money is simply numbers with it's own group of colloquialisms, my degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. That's another way of saying I've had my fair share of exposure to Calculus (which isn't a prerequisite to buying a home, however understanding ratios, inflation, scales indexes will probably help). She bought a house in a few months before the Bubble popped with the intention of flipping it; came out nice too, $50,000 worth of upgrades. Once the Contractor picked up all their tools and were outta there... It was worth $100,000 less than she'd paid for based on what the market would bare. She didn't have the resources to wait for a market correction and she left town after the foreclosure. Mr. "No nothin' about $ Me" waited.. I waited for my "NUMBER" to come up. October 2014, I got my number! Near 10 years ago;now, I'm working the Stock Market good in my Roth IRA. Next stop, Summerlin, NV!
