Thr Effect of Rheum ribes Root (Rhubarb) on Menopausal Hot Flashes: A Randomized Double-Blind, Study-Iran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. Abstract Background and objectives: Hot flashes are one of the most predominant complaints of menopause among women. The main treatment is hormone replacement therapy, which has side effects. Therefore, the use of plants with phytoestrogen has been suggested as an adjunctive treatment. This study aimed to estimate the efficacy of processed rhubarb (Rheum ribes L.) on hot flashes in postmenopausal women. Methods: This double-blind placebo-controlled trial was performed on postmenopausal women who were referred to public health centers at Iran University of Medical Sciences. Ninety postmenopausal women aged over 45 years with menopausal hot flashes were randomly assigned to two groups. The treatment group received 500 mg of encapsulated processed R. ribes twice a day for eight weeks, and the control group received placebo (starch powder) in the same manner. Data were collected using Blatt–Kupperman index at the start of the study, fourth and eighth weeks after the intervention. Descriptive and analytic statistics were used to analyze the data. Results: A total of 74 patients completed the study (39 participants in the intervention group and 35 in the control group). The results showed that R. ribes significantly decreased the mean of flashing in Blatt–Kupperman index four and eight weeks post-intervention (p<0.001). Rheum ribes showed no serious adverse effects. Conclusion: The findings of this study propose that treatment with R. ribes may be considered an adjunctive treatment for hot flashes in postmenopausal women.

California MBA's beautiful backdrop only highlighted the growing concerns of the California insurance crisis. As Gloria Papa sat down to commiserate over the rough commute on Palos Verdes Dr S to get to the Terranea resort. We were dumfounded by the almost car-sized holes construction crews were quickly trying to fill, that made for a rather bumpy road. After a quick google search, I read that they spend almost $1M per year to maintain that stretch of road alone!! Carmel Y. brought up that many of the homes in the area are unable to get insurance due to the continual erosion in the area. Thus sparked a conversation that has become one of the cornerstone questions of the California homeowner. Can I get Homeowner's Insurance on my home? We are all familiar with the California Fair Plan. (started the year I was born - I dare you to google that one!) While being (some unknown #😒) years old it has seen tremendous growth, doubling from 2019 to today, due to the increased rate of insurance companies exiting the California market. While it is still only a small percentage of all policies written, it is now a reality for many homeowners unable to attain insurance due to wildfire risk. I would like to say the three of us came up with a great solution, we didn't... but it did make for an interesting conversation and highlighted another reason we all gather at the Western. Aside from standing and chatting with pretty much every person you know in a small square area overlooking the ocean. We gather at the Western Secondary to raise funds for the California MBA to tackle these issues for our state's mortgage industry. I want to give a huge shout of thanks from to Susan Milazzo and the teams of workers and volunteers that support the California MBA to represent and advocate before the California State Legislature on these relevant challenges that exist in our gorgeous state. I'm feeling Inspired by this incredible keynote on building a 1000-year company by Kenneth Robison! What I learned: - It's actually possible! Building a 1000-year company is possible with a deep-rooted purpose, a line of leaders/stewards who are sold out for that purpose, and clearly defined objectives and strategy for the long term. Stop thinking about next year and start thinking about where you want the company/department to be when someone else is in your chair. - Advocate for systems that are designed for exponential growth in complexity. Bridge the gap between human capacity for knowledge and the actual knowledge in the world. - Find a few friends along the way. Who can you trust to partner with? What relationships will help you close the ever-growing knowledge gap? If you get a chance to watch, let me know your thoughts in the comments!

My knowledge about the natural diamond industry at the mining level is limited but it is certainly refreshing to listen to the Botswana President who speaks with such clarity and conviction about his position on certain issues. Lightbox was a big mistake. And yet Al Cook is still not ready to get rid of Lightbox. I do not understand the logic that De beers needs to be in the LGD retailing business to understand it. Time and time again De beers efforts to undermine the LGD category has backfired. Lightbox has no standing in the LGD category. It is not a credible player. Al Cook’s favorite word is “bifurcation” what does it really mean ? It is a given in consumers goods that the same product can have different price points that are intended to appeal to different segments of the market. The price itself does not change the product nature. I can buy a baguette for HKD 50 or a baguette for HD 30 in Hong Kong from two bakeries. One has a French name and one is a local brand. Is that “bifurcation” ? Martin Rapaport latest stance is that naturals are for rich people and LGD are for poor people. No one is talking about the fact that it is highly likely that somehow all the Russian diamonds will find a way into the market so it is likely that the natural diamond polished market itself will have two tiers. Russian goods and other non sanctioned goods. Consumers will not be able to tell which is which. Consumers will be confused and wary. I also do not understand how some naturals from Botswana will be branded as Botswana diamond and some won’t. De beers will also brand their diamonds as such or via Tracr. So why not get De beers to agree that all diamonds from Bostwana should be marketed as Bostwana diamonds. This is all very very confusing. Bostwana needs to be more firm with De beers. The President says he is does not agree with some of the Db strategy. Well don’t sign the new agreement with DB until the issues are dealt with. Why get married when there are already disagreements ? It will get worse and not better. Al Cook is a lost soul. He is flipping and flopping. In the latest FT article he wants 1000 retail store. Is Forevermark in China or not or will it be only in India. There is so many variations that has been reported. Can Al Cook even remember all the different versions in his myriads of interviews ? The media just sucks it up. Incredible and sloppy journalism. Can someone fact check what Al is saying to different media in different interviews ?

The impact of incremental revenue cannot be understated in the event space. Usage of inventory features like Seat level pricing (SLP) and platinum have been integral to this incremental revenue strategy. Especially in non-traditional events like international tournaments, celebrity matches, concerts, etc. Newer features like SLP and platinum are an entirely new way to price inventory than they’re used to. It took some convincing internally with client partners and clients to initially adopt. Clients trusted their client partners and our product team to deliver. The results speak for themselves 👏🏼
