Things to know about the 2024 bull run ⬇️ 1) Don’t get in without knowing where to get out. Your exit strategy is just as important as your entry. 2) Ignore FUD, pay no attention to short term negative news. 3) HODL - Follow through with your plan and be patient. 4) Know and understand the asset, research it thoroughly. 5) Check the facts. Just because you see something on X (previously, Twitter) doesn’t mean it’s true. Check the information for yourself. 6) Don’t click or connect to anything your not sure of. Random transaction in your wallet - dust attack? Connect your wallet to a spontaneous airdrop - instantly your wallet emptied! P.S. Most of the things I mentioned relate to emotions. Control your emotions. Have no emotions in the market. Follow your plan!

''This may hurt me, but it's good for you.'' is a sentiment potentially dangerous, often times faked, but overall useful to pursue. Put skin in the game. Sacrifice the probability of pain to bet on a positive outcome. If the odds are in your favor, or you can afford it, put forward generous resources, money, reputation, and hope for the best. That's what Elon Musk does in cases like buying twitter. That's what pilgrims do trying to convert their targets. Mind that we don't examine if their cause is objectively net positive, or if they are delusional or brainwashed. All we can be sure about is that they really, genuinely, wholeheartedly believe in it, and they deserve respect for their courage, before we even consider the subject matter. Beware though. If your skin is thin, or there's a good chance you will be eaten alive, work to build the resilience which can afford you a substantial leap of faith, before poking and getting crushed. Those resources are not only money. They can be education, emotional intelligence, communication skills, writing, an audience, and more. - - - Now, what if your cause does more damage than good? It's very difficult to tell, especially if you have invested so much on it. You can only, maybe, calibrate your position by listening to honest, brave people who put skin in the game to defend their holy grails against yours. - - - Writing these posts on Linkedin (should put them on substack) feels awkward, borderline brave, but it's less than a bare minimum. I am still much more cowardly than I want to be.

I almost dropped out. It was one of my WORST moments ever. Even when I tried reaching out to an uncle of mine that could help; My calls got ignored because he knew I needed something - Monetary support. Couldn't call home because I had other siblings my dad took care of. You might ask if I had no friends I could reach out to? I did but can any of them assist me financially? NO. I only had just ONE thing as my only hope - my personal brand (On Twitter) It was my 4th month: ▫️Zero clients ▫️Struggling to balance school and showing up. The screenshots of results and money received almost on my Timeline almost got me depresséd. Because I haven't even made a dime. And the funny thing was that I started building before most of these guys. I had to keep on going. 5th and 6th month - Nothing. It made coping in school difficult and my next option was to Dropout. Imagine having to call twice or thrice in a week to ask my dad for money if I needed to get a newly suggested Textbook or something else (That required money) It went on and on until my 7th month into building on Twitter. Then I got my first paid client. That was the only boost I needed (It showed me that YEAH it's possible) I funded my education from X ( Second year to Graduation) And that uncle of mine? Till date; I never call him. He calls sometimes and is like - “You don't even call to ask about somebody” Lol. But the Big question is this - Imagine if I had dropped out and quit everything in my 4th; 5th or 6th month? #mystorymyvoice #21daystorytellingwithDrIsh #personalbranding #motivation #futurism

One of the biggest lessons 2023 taught me: Quantity leads to Quality. Hear me out... As humans, we tend to strive for perfectionism. - The perfect feature. - The perfect blog post. - The perfect Twitter thread. - The perfect life-changing DM. But the real growth happens when you just start ‘doing.’ Quality will follow. - Write 100 Twitter threads — 1 will go viral. - Send 100 cold DMs — 1 will respond. - Ship 100 features — 1 will be loved. Do more to do better.

I'm starting a new email series tomorrow called What's New in R, sending out resources to help you keep abreast of what's happening in the world R. The first issue is going out tomorrow. Well, before Elon Musk took over Twitter, it was the place where I learned about new things in R. I constantly told people learning R to follow the #rstats hashtag. But, with Musk’s values in direct contrast to those that have made the R community great, many (most?) prominent R users have fled the platform. With R users now posting on Mastodon, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc, it’s hard to know where to go to find out what’s new in R. There are already aggregators of R content out there. You may be familiar with the R-bloggers website (https://r-bloggers.com/), which brings together blog posts from many R blogs. You may also know R Weekly (https://rweekly.org/), which sends a weekly email with the latest and greatest in R. There is also an R Weekly podcast (https://lnkd.in/gD_ZW3cR) that offers an audio overview of each week’s email. What’s New in R is not intended to replace R-bloggers or R Weekly. Instead, I want to complement them. Both R-bloggers and R Weekly are long and comprehensive, sharing many links on a regular basis. The resources they share tend to be on the advanced side of things. What’s New in R will be different. I’ll send out just three resources each issue. And I’ll focus on sending resources that are applicable to as wide a swath of R users as possible. Think things like data visualization, reporting with R Markdown and Quarto, workflow improvements, etc.

XTwitter remains such a dumpster fire it would appear to pose little threat to we ragtag woke fedis. For now.
