Mentoring Program Milestone. Today I facilitated the conduct of the mid-point review of the formal mentoring program of one of CICP's clients. Since this was a pilot program, doing a mid-program (formative) evaluation is so crucial to ensure that the program is going well and that the needs of the mentoring partners are being addressed. This review can be a rich source of data that could enable the fine-tuning of the program for future mentoring cycles. Hence, close monitoring is crucial when it comes to pilot implementation. It really takes time, energy, and effort to develop habits and build skills and, ultimately, to embed the mentoring practice in the corporate culture. If you are running a mentoring program be sure you schedule a mid-point review. It also helps those learning pairs who got derailed along the way to catch up with their colleagues. Thus, it increases the success rate of the program.

The endless string of demanding tasks at work can leave us running on empty — deadlines, meetings, projects, and ongoing training modules all demanding our effort and limiting our time to refuel. As an energy-saving measure, we may cut corners. One task that commonly falls down on the priority list is mentoring. While mentoring brings purpose and satisfaction, it can be draining. But while plenty of literature focuses on general mentorship strategies — the why, what, who, where, and when — strategies to save time and energy are often overlooked. In the face of a pandemic with no end in sight, we must preserve our fuel supplies while we mentor others. It is possible to be a mentor in an efficient manner that benefits mentees, growing their confidence and their network, but also conserves your energy. We call this an approach we call fuel-efficient mentoring. https://lnkd.in/gJMEpaQ

Reverse Mentoring @ Silvassa I am thrilled to share that I recently had the opportunity to engage in a reverse mentoring session with Satheeshan Unni Central Die Shop Head , Our focus was on "Word Office Dictation" and "Quill Bot." This experience highlighted the immense value of reverse mentoring in fostering mutual respect, enhancing collaboration, and bringing fresh perspectives to the workplace.Reverse Mentoring: Bridging Generations and Sparking InnovationIn today's rapidly evolving workplace, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration is essential. One powerful way to achieve this is through reverse mentoring, where junior employees' mentor senior staff. This innovative approach not only bridges generational gaps but also brings fresh perspectives and sparks innovation within the organization. Embracing reverse mentoring can lead to a more dynamic, innovative, and inclusive workplace. Let's continue to bridge generational gaps and foster an environment of mutual learning and respect.

⭐️ Reverse Mentoring ⭐️ Simply the opposite format of traditional mentoring, where the senior employee is mentored by a younger or more junior employee. 👩🏻👴🏽 In this fast and dynamic work environments and in light of the increasing percentage of Generation Z within organizations, one of the practices that I recommend is reverse mentoring. This practice opens additional channels of learning, reduce the skill gap, foster innovation, and brings fresh perspectives. What do you think about this practice??

What is mentoring? Mentoring is a relationship where a more experienced or more knowledgeable person helps to guide a less knowledgeable or less experienced person. It is a learning and development partnership between someone with extensive experience and someone who wants to learn. Both parties need to be willing for the system to work. Mentoring is a culture that a company needs to adopt in order to survive.

I've got a few (paid) ongoing, mentoring slots available as the last couple of legends that needed mentoring support only needed quick interventions. So if you need some help, drop me a message, it's been quite joyful for all concerned, and feedback has been really lovely. Support over the years has kind of evolved into 3 types of help: 1) Filling knowledge gaps. “I need to do this thing, and I’m not sure how”. We can chat through issues, and offer support and guidance. 2) Getting you from A-B. “In 2 years time, I want to be there”. We can decide on a destination and build a roadmap with milestones to help get you there. 3) Critical Friend. “I don’t know what to do in this situation”. We can talk through issues as they arise and give you the space to make decisions that are right for you. Here if you need anything.

Vulnerability in mentoring is essential. That doesn’t mean it’s easy. Yesterday’s Reverse Mentoring webinar discussed the challenges companies have faced when starting this type of mentoring program. This is why it’s so important to properly prepare and train your participants. Junior mentors need to feel safe and empowered to give feedback, while senior mentees need to be prepared to actively receive this feedback and constructive guidance. Reiterate the goals of the program, recruit participants with open minds and prepare your participants with the right resources and templates to feel ready to engage. Highly recommend checking this one out. Mike Kang and Brian Callaghan gave some great additional tips for matching, increasing engagement and troubleshooting in a reverse mentoring program. *If nothing else, watch the on-demand for the mentoring tips and stay for the chutes and ladders theme throwback the hosts took us through. https://bit.ly/3sawfnl

I had the opportunity to help lead a session for L2 Effective Mentoring today with Ian Bedelle. 🌟 Mentoring plays a pivotal role in personal and professional growth, and will play an essential role in the journey of those on our new programme. Some of the key takeaways from today's session: **Building Trust**: We looked at the importance of establishing trust between mentors and mentees. Trust forms the foundation of a successful mentoring relationship, fostering open communication and mutual respect. **Effective Communication**: Communication is the lifeline of mentorship. **Goal Setting and Accountability**: Setting achievable goals and holding each other accountable are crucial components of mentoring. In the future we’ll be looking at techniques for setting SMART goals and maintaining accountability throughout the mentoring journey. **Continuous Learning**: Mentorship is a two-way street. Both mentors and mentees have invaluable knowledge to share and learn from each other. We encouraged a culture of continuous learning and knowledge exchange. Overall, today's session was engaging with some insightful discussions and valuable learnings. We’re looking forward to seeing the positive impact of L2 Effective Mentoring unfold in our learner’s journeys. Let's continue to inspire, empower, and uplift each other!💡 AC Training #Mentorship #ProfessionalDevelopment #L2EffectiveMentoring #LeadershipDevelopment
