We're getting ready to start testing with the professional sport organisations that have trusted us. After months of theoretical work, it's always nice to see something concrete. Don't hesitate to follow us to see the first results. For new curious clubs, the door is still open ! #Wynnie #BlockchainForBusiness #Innovation #NFT #BusinessTech
Who says resolutions are out the window ? At Wynnie, we're still going strong ! 2023 was full of great things, and the coming months promise to be very rewarding for us as well. Over the last few months, we've been working diligently and are aiming to deliver our first proof of concept by the end of the month. The architecture is made up of a web application for the sports teams and a mobile application for the fans. After some theoretical research, we are gradually testing the functionalities of our proof of concept on the Avalanche and Tezos blockchains to find the one that best suits our needs. Please let us know your preferences in the comments ! Decision Making & Behavioral Design 🧠 I build & break behavioral barriers for products, processes, and planning 🧠
🪦🪦🪦 Thoughts on #E3 dying 🪦🪦🪦 Two lessons pop to the top of my mind: 1) Be realistic about your relationships E3 relied on publishers for revenue and content. E3's decline started when their sales team started acting like E3 gave more value to publishers than it received. (It did not.) This was first driven home for me when I saw that EA Play was able to rent a massive section of LA Live for 10 days and *it cost less than E3 wanted to charge them for 3 days of space across the street at LACC*. 2) Buying volume is not building value When E3 sales x publisher relationships (and revenue) started to seriously falter, E3 sales thought they could save the show by bringing in 'civilian' fans. Numbers looked great, at least at first, but ended up costing E3 *even more financial and social capital*. E3 was designed as an industry event for a few thousand people, not a mass-market event for tens of thousands - logistics immediately got INSANELY costly. Oops! There goes all that extra revenue! And, with all of the new non-professional attendees, the appeal of *not dealing with civilians* became a moot point for the industry that were still there. Oops! There goes the rest of E3's value to industry! Is it hard to run a show? Yes, absolutely. But the hardest part is not building the show - it's building the character, culture, and vision that *build the show* When I talked to ESA, I told them that Geoff Keighly & The Game Awards understood this, and E3 needed to learn this lesson, or it would die. They made their choice.
E3, once gaming’s biggest expo, is officially dead

Personal-ish rant (errr, story?) but curious if anyone in my professional network + experiences in tech has thoughts. I bought tickets on SeatGeek for Olivia Rodrigo in Philadelphia last night with my niece, Orla. Orla is a huge fan…we regularly blast her songs and sing a long in the car…. and 7/19 happens to be her birthday. It was beshert. We got down to the stadium area ~7:15. We weren’t pressed to see the opener + both needed dinner. we grabbed food at xfinity and were over to Wells Fargo at 8:10 (Olivia on at 8:30). Pulled up the tickets that had been “transferred” on my phone and when they were scanned, door person told me they were reading as already scanned. I needed to go to the box office to resolve. TL;DR, spent next 45 min on phone w/ SeatGeek w/ a teary anxious 6 yr old beside me that did not end with us in seats at the concert. For ~40 of those 45 minutes there were 2 seats available…on SeatGeek no less!…in the section next to where I paid ~$650 a ticket, but we could not have those because they were listed at a value that exceeded 200% of what I paid. Even though the tickets were “there”, I guess SeatGeek felt the chance someone was going to pay $5k (per ticket!) for upper level seats 15 min after the concert had started was worth holding out for vs. resolving a horrendous situation they created that left a 6 yr old in tears on her birthday. At the end of the day, I don’t know if this was a professional/bot led scam or an everyday selfish person that figured out a way to game the platform and get paid for their tickets/but got there ahead and still used them, but as someone with experience in tech I feel like this is all…preventable? in the year 2024. I hold Ticketmaster just as responsible as SeatGeek, FWIW, but realize P&Ls are what the leadership at these companies value most so, although basic infrastructure could be built between their platforms to prevent teary 6 yr old customers stranded outside concerts, they will never pursue it until there is some kind of legislative enforcement or real financial consequences for allowing scammers to thrive more than actual fans of artists whose tickets they sell. I have been told I will be getting a full cash refund + already received a credit to SeatGeek via email as “additional compensation”. Looking into seeing another show and while the credit would in theory help cover the higher than ever ticket prices, all of Olivia’s upcoming tour dates we can make require air travel. Gee thanks, SeatGeek let’s try again post shelling out for flight/hotel? No thanks, unless you are really going to put your money where your mouth is and GUARANTEE future tickets purchased on your platform will get us into the show we travel to. Not seeking opinions re: what I paid for tickets or taking a 6 yr old to a big concert/Olivia Rodrigo. What’s the solution here? Could an investment by Ticketmaster SeatGeek in tech to prevent fraud btwn platforms mitigate effectively or do we need legislation?

Brand rules all. To be uncurious is to fail. Balance the Force: science and voodoo. Commerce and creative intersectionality. Commune with the masters: Kaizen, Sun Tzu, Carlin, and Jobs. Avaritia malum.
Interesting and exciting to learn about Ludus, and their destination of downtown GR. This also creates an interesting potential balance to the far-too-chummy relationship the Kent County CAA and ASM Global have with Ticketmaster and Live Nation Entertainment via their venues (DeVos Place, Devos Performance Hall, Van Andel Arena) and upcoming Grand Action 2.0 projects like the Amphitheater and Soccer Stadium. This actually bodes well, I hope, for mitigating the looming 2025 expiration of U.S. Department of Justice oversight, blocking TM's nefarious and petty punitive practices against venues who choose other ticketing platforms like Eventbrite. Perhaps we will be a city that can truly master Ticket Freedom in the near future, and help turn the tide against crooked monopolistic practices.
