The end of an era! After 38 years in the motor industry and after 22 different jobs with 3 fabulous companies in Volvo Cars , Stellantis and Polestar I am very grateful to have the opportunity retire at the end of June. A huge thank you to Polestar for making this possible. The last 7 years has been a once in a lifetime experience, launching the Polestar Brand globally and being part of the growth that sees Polestar present in 27 countries around the globe, listed on the Nasdaq and becoming a Brand that people are talking about. It has been a joy to work with so many talented people and it is the people that make a brand. I feel extraordinarily proud to have been part of this fabulous journey and to have been able to make my own contribution to this success. The last years has seen the focus on the UK. Over 27.000 cars on the road in the UK 9 Polestar Spaces up and running around the UK. Polestar very much a fixture in the UK car market. None of this would have been possible without the fantastic team and retail partners that we have built in the UK. A huge thank you for your passion and commitment and drive and enthusiasm. It has been a pleasure. I am delighted to welcome Matt Galvin to take up the reins in the UK and I look forward to watching him continue to drive success in the UK from the comfort of my sofa. Great memories and on with the next chapter . #Polestar #motorindustry

Huge huge congratulations and thanks my friend! It’s been an incredible journey every step of the way and you can be hugely proud of everything you have achieved over the years and the friendships you have built. It’s clear from all the comments that your career has been hugely influential on so many people over the years, well done. For my personal experience I would never have found Tacos & Tequilas or experienced your premium taste in red wine if we hadn’t met! Oh and I think we managed to sell a few cars too! Catch up in the UK soon my friend and enjoy the well earned retirement..

Well your family are incredibly proud of what you have achieved. Fantastic career in the motor industry and suspect that you will be sorely missed with so much knowledge, experience and an awful lot of ribbon cutting! Good luck with the next chapter - very excited to see what it holds

End of an era for sure! 2 years working for you, when you were Peugeot MD, were some of the most rewarding and definitely the most enjoyable in my 28 years in the industry. The evening and morning at the Ypres Rally enjoying the Belgian beer in the Freddy Tent (Freddy Loix) was one of the many highlights! Congrats on a great career, enjoy your well deserved retirement with the family.

Blimey! For some reason I hadn't seen this coming, despite it now seeming obvious, especially with your growing family to spend time with. I have to confess to being a bit devasted as all the goodies - and none so good as Goodman - are all retiring. It's been a brilliant time having you in this industry, Jon, and I was so lucky to have met you early on in my time in automotive and enjoyed your constant support. You've been great to work with, super-clever but also very funny in equal measure. Still gutted I didn't win our press ups competition that time in Geneva though. ENJOY your retirement as you richly deserve and as everyone else has commented here...WHAT a career you've had. You will be missed. X

Cool man! Always loved working with you; great professional but, more importantly, just really nice and fun guy😊. I’m sure you will stay busy one way or another. Thanks for the wow moments together👍👍

Congratulations on a wonderful career Jon Goodman. Will never forget how you helped me in my early days at Peugeot - I will always be grateful for that. Your a top bloke my friend. Best wishes for many healthy and happy years in retirement. Calls for a few rounds of golf me thinks.

Congratulations Jon! I remember our days fondly at Coventry Regional Office. We really were the Dream Team. You were a great boss to work for and offered me guidance and support which I’ve used over the years with teams I’ve managed. I learnt a lot from you. Enjoy your retirement and some well-deserved time with Sarah and your family. Take care and enjoy the next chapter. Love Fella xx
