📢 This weekend I’ve been out training, in very soggy weather clocking up the miles in preparation for our #TeamGrow fundraising activities. We are aiming to raise £75,000 for Farm Africa which will be invested to ▶️empower women in Eastern Africa to have the skills, knowledge and training to transition to regenerative farming practices, ▶️helping to secure their future and livelihoods ▶️ and will help them have more secure route to market to sell their fantastic food and produce. Women’s sport is finally hitting the mainstream and it can’t come soon enough so we can get those amazing female athletes and teams the funding they deserve. I was privileged to be the guest of Christian Day, General Secretary of the Rugby Players’ Association and brilliant ally of the women’s game, at the Red Roses v Black Ferns match at Allianz Twickenham yesterday and what a treat the match was! Thanks too to Judith Batchelar OBE, inspiring Chair of the RPA for the invitation. Can’t wait for the World Cup next year!

I am delighted, excited and a little bit nervous to say that I will be part of #TeamGROW who are heading to Kenya in October for our #GROW for Good Challenge. GROW stands for Growing Resilience and Opportunities for Women and this is exactly what we are focused on helping with. How are we doing this? - #TeamGROW are 12 intrepid women, including yours truly, who will be working on female-run farms in Embu County, Kenya 🇰🇪 - We will be cycling between the farms and camping overnight 🚴 - On the farms, we will be lending a hand with regenerative agriculture activities like composting and mulching, while experiencing life in rural Kenya 🫛🥀🫖 - At the end of the challenge, the team will be taking part in a roundtable event with female industry leaders in Nairobi to drive positive change for women in the global food system. 🌎 How can you help?
