Hot off the press! An op-ed in The Economist celebrating the true potential of biomaterials to replace petroplastics at scale. In writing this piece, I took the opportunity to not only highlight Sway, but inspiring technologies from around the world who are also using "regenerative feedstocks" (including Woola's waste wool bubble wrap, Ponda Bio's wetland-regenerating cattail fluff, Great Wrap's waste potato peel cling film, and Ecovative - the mycelium technology company's foam). This op-ed highlights how radically collaborative efforts like the TOM FORD Plastic Innovation Accelerator powered by Lonely Whale can help bring solutions to market – and it stems from first hand experience.
