Having lost our beloved Labrador Woody in 2020, I wrote an article about how we could all benefit from being a bit more Labrador. I talked about their ability to love and trust unconditionally, their unwavering companionship and their ability to live in the moment. (Original article in comments). Here is Ivy demonstrating unbridled joy at arriving at her holiday destination. I rest my case. (Although please spare a thought for Barry Banana whose squeak is no more). Be more Labrador.

Love this. I tried it but the neighbours kept getting upset…. Apparently it’s possible to be too Labrador….

Love this Julia Smith, FCIPD, MBPsS and I hope the rest of your hols makes you smile so much. As you know I lost my 13 year old pug at Christmas and have since got Betty a frenchie puppy…..she amazes me with her zest for life and happiness especially on the beach, it’s amazing what a ball can do. A dog is defo man’s best friend!

Love this! What a nurturing location - I hope you are enjoying yourself as much as Ivy My two small boys remind me of labradors often and inspire me to search for that dog-like / child-like joy... similar scenes would be found if they arrived to visit you (though I'm not about to turn up and spoil your peace, don't worry!)

We definitely need to be more Labrador. I often think this when I spend time with Cooper.

We can all learn a lot from a Labrador - how to simply rest and relax on their 12th birthday (today 16 July) for example!

Julia I remember the article and when we lost Murphy talked to the girls about it. We still try and be a bit more Labrador every day thanks to your article and Woody x

Couldn’t agree more Julia! Boo is 14 next week and she’s still going (relatively!) strong. This was in Scotland a couple of months ago. Had to jump in on this 😍
