Michael Biegel, an avid golfer, watched "The Long Game," and has some thoughts. If you're not familiar with it, here's the plot: "In 1955, five young Mexican-American caddies, out of the love for the game, were determined to learn how to play, so they created their own golf course in the middle of the South Texas desert." The movie is based on a true story. Said Michael, "Very emotional movie. I was unaware of this situation occurring as a part of golf's history. The Latino players overcoming the difficulties of discrimination and bigotry was inspiring. Golf is naturally a mental and physically challenging game. Adding the racism and social status to the equation makes the perseverance of those young kids even more special. The end of the movie shows that when you work hard, are determined, and you reach your goal, the people who helped you achieve it, are all that matter." Just played "Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden" by DON'T NOD and published by Focus Entertainment, and dude, it's something else. Here's the lowdown: 📖 Story-Driven: It's all about this couple, Red and Antea, in 1695 dealing with ghosts and curses. The story's deep, man, like really pulls you in with all these choices about love and what you'd sacrifice for it. ⚔️ Combat: You get to mix up Red's swordplay with Antea's ghostly powers. It's pretty slick and keeps fights interesting. 🤔 Choices Matter: This part's intense. You decide whether to blame folks, banish spirits, or help them find peace. What you pick really changes things up. 🗺️ Exploration & Upgrades: The world's got this eerie vibe, really cool to explore. You can find gear and level up Antea's powers, but heads up, locking into upgrades can be a bit of a gamble. Pros: - The game runs smooth, looks great, and doesn't glitch out. - The story hits hard with some real tough choices. - Fighting's fun, especially mixing physical attacks with magic. - The setting's got this unique, dark beauty to it. Cons: - Once you upgrade gear, you're kinda stuck with it, so choose wisely. - Might find yourself retracing steps a bit too much. - Combat's cool but might not be everyone's cup of tea. Overall: It's a solid mix of action, RPG, and a ton of story. If you're into games that make you think and feel, definitely give it a shot. Just be ready for some heavy themes and making choices that aren't easy. Rating: 8/10. It's more than just ghost hunting; it's about dealing with loss, making hard calls, and seeing how far you'd go for someone you love. Plus, the game's world and combat keep things pretty engaging.
