There is no place for violence in our country, including in the political process, and our thoughts are with President Trump, the victims and their families.

It's a bit odd commenting on politics on this forum, but this topic seems to have touched a nerve, so I'll jump in too. I'll simply note that, here in the U.S., we experience mass shootings and other shootings so often that they have become scarcely news anymore. It's a nice sentiment to say that "There is no place for violence in our country", but if we're honest, we would have to acknowledge that violence here, including and perhaps especially gun violence, is completely commonplace. Had this latest shooting taken place in a school classroom, it would already be yesterday's news. It seems fair to infer, then, that for far too many people in my view, the lives of politicians are worth more than the lives of our children. Fortunately, we have an endless supply of "thoughts and prayers". Not so fortunately, while we used to be a "can do" country, we clearly cannot do anything of substance about gun violence. Or, we choose not to.

As a mother whose child was shot while playing because two adults couldn’t settle their differences without guns, my heart aches for the families who lost their loved ones at the rally. There is no place in our society for such acts of aggression and political violence. We must ensure that our political discourse remains peaceful and constructive.

Election is yet to be happen . How come he became your President now ?

Most companies I worked for had policies to keep politics and religion out of the workplace as to not embarrass, harass, intimidate staff and fully endorsed by top leadership. It is disappointing to see a CEO’s personal view on Linkedin. If I worked at Accenture, I would worry about my promotional future if my CEO found out I completely disagree with her POV or dare to suggest my heart goes out to the victims and families of gun violence in schools, malls, and churches rather than my heart going out toward a former Elected Official who incited the attack on our National Capital and continues to stoke the hatred, racism and misogyny.  Separation of church and state is there for a reason and should extend to the workplace.

Absolutely!!! Seeing this from Italy is very sad: we look to USA as a peer of democracy and freedom. I’m wondering about Yoda thoughts. Maybe he could say: Violence the Jedi way is not.

Violence will stop when we understand the other person carrying a soul which is mine as well. Thats the part of God in us.
