Did anyone stay up last night to watch the Super Bowl? We won't ruin the score but alongside the star-studded crowd (looking at you Taylor!), Usher's amazing halftime show and Beyonce announcing a new album, we were interested in the charitable, environmental and community-driven aspect of the Super Bowl and the sport itself. - Did you know this was the first Super Bowl to be powered fully by renewable energy? - The NFL work with many charity partners that help support and raise awareness for early detection of cancer; the consequences of drink driving and support for victims of domestic abuse to name but a few. - They have a free digital education resources hub - Huddle at Home - for young people and their families. - The NFL have developed character education (helping young people to cultivate and maintain healthy relationships) and Environmental programmes (helping communities create everlasting change) - Inspire Change is the NFL's social justice initiative, aimed at reducing barriers to opportunity and working together across all aspects of the NFL 'family' to create positive change. There is much, much more that the NFL are supporting so please check out their website for more information. We are thrilled to read of the benefits for the communities, the environment and supporters that come from this mammoth event. https://lnkd.in/eHBGJ9XR #SuperBowlLVIII #Community #InspireChange #NFL

I am truly humbled by all your kind words and feedback from this article. As time goes on, I have become more comfortable with sharing my personal story because it drives me to continue helping kids in need. It all comes down to education and opportunities. I established the Think Big Endowment for the FSU College of Business so that others would join in the pursuit of helping first-gen college students like me with opportunities for professional development skills, experiential learning, and workforce readiness. If you’re a fellow NOLE or like the idea of supporting higher education, please consider adding to the endowment. You can contact David Van Lone at [email protected]. If you want to help younger kids prepare for college, trade school or apprenticeships, we can also use your support for Think Big for Kids. We are providing middle and high school students with career exploration, mentorship, and job readiness & placement opportunities. We have served over 7,000 kids to date, but we need more volunteers, mentors and funding to break the cycle of poverty: Amy Alley www.thinkbigforkids.org. Whether you choose to give your resources or your time, both and in any amount are great. Whatever organization or non-profit you choose to support, do something to help others!
Tony DiBenedetto endured a turbulent childhood, including homelessness before he reached his teens, and arrived at FSU’s campus in 1983 in a car that barely ran. Now a Tampa-based technology executive, entrepreneur, philanthropist and #FSUBiz Alumni Hall of Fame member, he continues to make FSU a beneficiary of his giving and his emphasis on students who need a lift. We are thrilled to share that he recently invested $1 million in the college to establish the Think Big Endowment Fund, which aims, among other things, to give first-generation students the funding and resources to pursue essential professional development opportunities. ✨ Head to the link below to read the inspiring story of Tony DiBenedetto and how he turned abandonment into achievement. 👏 🔗 : fla.st/GVZ1A204

When I started this in September of last year, I thought I'd have it wrapped up in 1-1.5 months.. the journey took a few unexpected turns but better late than never! Apologies for the delay, but I'm happy to finally release the Platform Playbook. Thanks again to Jake O'Shea of Foundation Capital (at the time of interviewing), Marshall Cunningham of TXV Partners, Arthur James of 8VC, Kaitlyn DeBernardo of Next Coast Ventures, Julia Sowa of Comcast Ventures, Lea Makhloufi of Creative Artists Agency, and Claire Hansen of Firebrand Ventures for donating their time to share insights! Learn more about Choptank Arts & Culture Exchange!
Where is the Choptank Arts & Culture Exchange located? We are a nomadic, all-volunteer organization, so look for us at art openings, libraries, coffee shops, parks, festivals, and at pop-up events and info sessions that we’ll be sponsoring. Such an approach aligns with CACE’s goal to keep operating costs to a minimum (no mortgage, no rent) in order to maximize the impact of donor funds. www.choptankarts.org

Gamble Free Sober Bar & Bottle Shop owner! Helping adults live their BEST lives & PLAY without alcohol or gambling!!
11/19 Day 9 of #22 Update- $817 of $11,111 Raised Lucky 13 days to go! Thank you Mark for the $321 donation! You totally get me and I appreciate the support! Do it for “Shark Tank”… So many of you were super excited that I tried out for Shark Tank in July. Spoiler alert- I did not make it on this time… THIS time. If you have watched the show, you know that they ask about Kickstarter campaign’s and their performance. It is a factor like sales of this first location will be. Not getting on Shark Tank was part of the reason that I knew it was time to open a “proof of concept” store. This location will be the one that helps indicate to investors that this model will work for the mega 3-21 No Kiddin vision. If I thought achieving the $11,111 goal wasn't possible, I wouldn’t have done a Kickstarter. There is no way that I am telling Mr. Wonderful that I didn’t make it. He is on my future husband list so that wouldn’t bode well. The clip shown here is from my Business Boyfriend, Grant Cardone’s conference in 2021. I got nice and close because of Mr. Wonderful being there. Today’s ask is for you to consider pledging so I have a good answer for the Sharks when I do finally get on. I WILL get on! Be part of impressing one of my future husbands! If you've talked to me about books in the last 2 years, you heard me talk about Formula X by Jurriaan Kamer. It's a crash course in building autonomous, collaborative teams that drive results...as fast as a Formula 1 race team. So rad to have Jurriaan on the most recent episode of Future Nonprofit. Link to the episode (and to Formula X) in the comments. 👈

Ironclad Co is one of my epic clients. If you're in the market for a new knife or two AND you want to save marine life, then get behind their kickstarter. There are four knives in the Ghost Knife Collection, each tailored for a unique purpose and audience—a santoku knife, a chef's knife, a boning knife, and a filleting knife. Wait a minute. How can a filleting knife save marine life? By making a best in class fishing knife out of an ocean pollutant we'll be communicating this global problem with the people who directly control the destinies of fishing nets. Addressing the problem at its source.
Thank you to everyone who has bought from or shared our ghost knife range. We’re soooo close to getting funding. It’s like a telethon. With knives. If you haven’t had a look, please do.
