Tokenization is often understood as the technical process of generating on-chain assets. However, the far more complex process takes place before this. As part of the 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀, real-world assets are organized in such a way that they can be represented in the form of ownership rights (securities). Think of a real estate property. This cannot be brought directly on-chain. In fact, tokenization usually takes place via the incorporation of the property into a company (𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲), whose share rights are then tokenized.
