Yesterday was one of those days that remind me why I love what I do. The morning started rough, like it often does in the world of sales. But then, something amazing happened. My colleague, Ilija, recognized my efforts and nominated me for Employee of the Year! His message, filled with appreciation, turned my day around. Not only we nailed a great demo, but I also scheduled three meetings with Fortune 500 companies! This experience made me think on two things: Believe in Yourself: Even on tough mornings, remember why you started. Your determination and hard work are your most valuable assets. The Power of Team Belief: It’s one thing to believe in yourself, but having a team that believes in you is a game-changer. It boosts your morale and pushes you to achieve more than you thought possible. Ilija, thank you for your support – it means a lot!

I went for an agendaless brunch with high-performing individuals. When we walked in, we had to choose a sticker and answer one of these questions: • What’s one question you have been thinking about lately? • I feel like an artist when.. • A quote I refer often is… You’d expect Type A individuals asking questions of fundraising, scaling and growth. It was surprising that we found people asking more fundamental questions: • How do we stay happy in our everyday lives? • Is our worth defined by our age? • How do you find guidance from a mentor or a coach? It reminds me of Sahil Bloom’s philosophy in the value of creating big rooms. Something intangible happens when you put diverse thinkers in one room. I attended a Role Model event presented by Maxine GODDARD. Where I picked up an impactful quote that has stuck with me: "Surround yourself with people who fight for you in the rooms you weren't in." This quote resonates with me because it speaks to the importance of having advocates in your corner who will speak up for you and represent your best interests, even when you're not able to be present. As we navigate our careers and lives, we can't always be in every important meeting or discussion that affects us. Having colleagues and mentors who know your abilities and will make sure your voice is heard in those situations you miss can be invaluable. It can open doors to new opportunities and ensure you aren't overlooked. Thankyou Maxine for your valuable contribution.
