Having an HSA is life changing! Not long ago, my career took an unexpected turn when my long-time employer suddenly let me go. It stung. I wasn't completely new to the emotional and financial stress of a lay-off; however, this time I had money set aside in an HSA account. I can't overstate the relief and comfort I felt, having the means to tend to my family's short-term healthcare needs. It was life changing!
