As we shift away from fossil fuels, the demand for essential resources like Li, Co, Ni, etc. is rapidly increasing. Only in the International Energy Agency (IEA)'s best-case scenario demand is met by 2030; consequently significant investments in the supply of sustainable critical minerals is required! #climatechange #race2zero #energytransition

The resurgence of the coal reality is starting to bite. “As global energy dynamics evolve, the debate over coal’s role continues to intensify. Really I have never thought of it this way. The Topic so fascinates my thinking. The Blind Spots of the Green Energy Transition... Hmmmn. Although there have been questions about how green are the Green energy alternatives if they are still largely dependent and powered by fossil fuel. This TED talk brings earth minerals and global resource depletion potential into perspective here and really it all reaffirms again the wicked societal problems of Sustainability as a whole. No one side fits all. My Key take away lessons from this Talk are... 1. Global Mining Licences should be highly prioritize and restricted to only safe to mine areas. Where resources are not safe to mine, we must act as though they do not exist despite our pressure for renewable production. 2. Reducing our global need and use of energy. (How feasible?). We must rethink our processes very importantly. 3. Ecological Security is a one common denominator we must all work on to build collectively. Thanks Lamé Verre FEI for sharing this piece.
