Hello Community, On the mark of about 6 months at BNY Mellon, I would like to elaborate on how I have felt personally about the organisation during this brief tenure. When I started with Investment Operations in the UK, I went upfront to my line manager (the very first day) and told him that I was completely new to this segment and it might take a while for me to understand the organisation structure, its operations and where I fall in serving the company on delivering services. Max Maudsley and @Mark Hodgson had been supportive all these months to take time to answer all my questions about the systems, procedures, risks associated and assessments. With this dynamically changing world, I believe change is evident, from business operating models to business processes. I at BNY Mellon want to support the three strategic pillars: 1. Run our Company Better, 2. Power our Culture, and 3. Be more for our Clients. By continuously working towards engaging innovation in our systems, BNY has strategically partnered with Microsoft to help make operations better in many points where resilience against risks can be managed better to overcome market disruptions not only from our learnings from the past but also with a vision towards the future. Clarity of objectives and clients at the centre…..

I have been in #fintech #wealthtech most of my career. But I have never had the opportunity to work with such a talented group of women. Women who run huge weath businesses. Women who are innovating and developing cutting edge fintech platforms. Women who run massive mandates and strategies as asset and portfolio managers. Women who work hard to help clients be more productive and scale. Women who manage thousands of operational processes and team members. Women who bet on themselves to start new businesses where they see a need. What I love about working with them all is that we don’t ask each other “how we balance”. We don’t feel the need to talk about “how to be heard”. We talk about business (lots of it), life (because everyone has a big, messy one) and how we can help each other. Full stop. It is fun, it is full of laughter and frankly - it is magical.

A new year, a bright new start! 2023 was a huge year for me in many different aspects of my life – professionally, personally, and in terms of my favourite hobby (cycling & triathlon). Professionally, I left BNY Mellon after a wonderful 23 year career encompassing different roles where I was able to build my skills, experience and network to move from middle office operations into the front office in 2006 since when I have managed – and sold into – strategic buy-side relationships where BNY provided a full range of services. Having spent the summer & autumn spending precious time with my kids building memories (NYC Baby!) and cycling all over Europe, I am now raring to go to find and embrace my next professional adventure. Personally, I’m a relationship builder, an inspiring and motivating leader, someone who makes things happen, and always with a smile..
