And… scene (now home, awake at 4am since my body thinks it’s 10a). Took the past 30 minutes to just reflect on the week. Thinking through the days… the connections, the conversations, the debates, the experiences, the left over questions, the follow ups. I don’t know about you, but this was - hands down - the best Cannes yet. Bottom line up front (BLUF) - we have A LOT of work to do, and not a ton of time to figure it out. See where we are going and how your company uniquely adds value. Then call a friend at a different company that is the best at something else and partner - so we can move faster. (1) Video (especially LIVE video) is sailing its way to a digital ecosystem and we need help from the messy middle to get it there and do it RIGHT; (2) There is programmatic, and there is biddable. They are not the same thing - we need to drive towards biddable for access for all brands, and value for publishers; (3) We all can’t do it all (even as much as we are tempted to try!) - partnering with the right companies and groups and staying FOCUSED will make or break this moment. There is a lot of noise in this industry (and that’s putting it kindly). Trust your gut. Your partners also represent your values…. so choose mindfully. On a personal note, feeling immensely grateful to be part of this industry, this group of humans that are seeing that we have a collective goal. The FreeWheel and Comcast Advertising marketing, events, comms and security teams deserve SO much credit for what they do and dream about. I return home with a humble heart, and invigorated mind - and I can’t ask for anything more. Oui oui! #LFG

Hear hear! Was awesome seeing you to kick off what was a great Cannes!
Thanks for sharing, Karen! Would love to connect with you at some point to learn more about your thinking on biddable vs. programmatic.
Great Cannes indeed Karen!
