Today, I came across a situation in Hams Hall next to the Bristol Street Motors PDI site that really struck a chord. I saw one of Ford Motor Company's car transporters stuck at the side of the road, half blocking traffic. The driver, in a bid to avoid blocking the site and let other deliveries proceed, had parked up on the side due to a backlog of three other transporters. Unfortunately, due to the low construction of the transporter, he got beached on the curb and was close to damaging his fuel tank. As I drove by in my 2024 Ford UK Ranger Wildtrak, I saw the despair on the driver’s face and thought, "That guy isn't having a good day." The implications of his situation were clear—delayed or canceled deliveries, recovery costs, stress for the driver, and potential job risks. He even mentioned that a recovery truck was on the way, adding to his anxiety. Moved by empathy and the fact that it was a Ford transporter, I decided to turn around and see how I could help. After all, we're currently working at Ford UK's PDI site in Granby Avenue fitting accessories and deadlocks for a fleet customer, and I had the tools in my truck to assist. I hooked up some straps to my towbar, and with a little encouragement, we managed to free the transporter without any damage. This act of goodwill wasn’t about social media recognition but about helping someone in need. Although I didn’t take many photos, I’m proud to share this story with my LinkedIn community. The driver was able to carry on with his day, and what could have been a major delay turned into just a small hiccup he could easily make up for. When it comes to wealth creation there are vehicles of all shapes and sizes There are some that are fast, some that are slow Some are reliable & some are not But at the end of the day You have to be the one that picks your vehicle It needs to fit your list of criteria so that When someone eventually tells you That there way is better You can stand solid in your decision. Yesterday I was back at the new barn when I heard the rumbling of something. Before I could see it someone behind me goes look at that truck. As soon as my eyes caught the truck coming around the press barn I was instantly struck. The aluminum wheels polished to the max. The trailer quarter fenders almost dragging the ground… Matching blue straps. I wasn’t upset I was impressed. It actually made me fell a little jealous… Not a bad jealous though. I felt lazy that I hadn’t been keeping up. Why are my trucks not to these standards. Lyndon Troyer had just rolled in with the last load of metal for our new barn. As soon as I got chance I walked up to Lowell and was like damn that thing is looking good. We talked for a bit and you can tell he’s a damn good guy. You can also tell he’s disciplined. Has morals, integrity and high standards. If you feel that others succeeding makes you mad and jealous your in the wrong mindset. This is going to hold you back ! Instead of being mad, negative or jealous become friends with them. Support each other and LEARN from others success. Use them to fuel YOU. Now go get your truck all shinned up. It’s not even that expensive. A little ELBOW grease can do it.
