Let's do a quick stack of all the reasons this should be a massive success (I'm not going to make "fetch" a thing): Nostalgia: The original movie came out nearly 20 years ago, so for many this will be a huge throwback. IP: That first movie already has a huge cult following, revered by many. Plus the remake coming out that has been adapted for a new generation. Theme: The movie itself is centred around popularity and "fitting in" so being able to immerse yourself in the world and play into the theme of the film makes it that much more engaging. Teams: With the different themed groups within the movie, you're inviting players to "pick a team" which helps build community and engagement Music: With the new movie being a musical, having an audio accompaniment will just help cement the experience by tapping into another sense. And all of that doesn't even account for the major interactivity, fashion and shopping experience Roblox provides. Impressive stuff! 3 months ago we wrote a new chapter in HUGO’s journey into Web3 and the Metaverse with the launch of our own ROBLOX world - PLANET HUGO. Together with the introduction of our new brand line HUGO BLUE we launched the brands first ever ROBLOX experience, helping us to expand our target audience, extending our social platforms and growing our HUGO community worldwide. Venturing out in untapped territory is always exciting but also bares risks, uncertainties and the potential to fail. Even better when you can say that you have built trust and collaboration across teams and departments to ultimately outweigh the fear of failing and let the shared excitement and believe take over. Coinciding with our global HUGO BLUE launch event in Berlin we have built and launched an experience on ROBLOX mirroring our physical event setup to connect the virtual and physical worlds for a truly immersive experience on- and offline.   We crushed our benchmark of having +1M visitors way ahead of our timeline along with a few other benchmarks and KPIs we set ourselves.  All in all I can truly say ROBLOX was a risk worth taking and a great example for trust and collaboration within the HUGO BOSS organisation. ❤️ VERY Proud Dad Moment 🌟 I just caught my 14-year-old son this morning, deeply immersed in designing graphics for Roblox Studios. It's incredible to watch his passion and talent shine through at such a young age! I'm not just saying that. For those unfamiliar, Roblox isn't just a game—it's an absolute creative powerhouse that opens up new worlds of possibilities. In recent years, it's become more than just a platform for fun; it's become commerce-enabled, offering young designers like my son the opportunity to showcase their skills and earn ROBUX currency. What's truly mind-blowing for me as a parent/designer is how quickly he's mastered Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and XD—he’s pretty much self-taught (with a bit of guidance from yours truly) and of course, given my graphic design roots (and still do dabble regularly - sorry Elliot Littlefield) the speed at which he learns is impressive, and I couldn't be prouder. Roblox boasts over 150 million monthly active users worldwide—a testament to its growing influence in the digital landscape. Only this week was I discussing a new partnership for Brave Agency, with Annie Siara from ONEWAYX which is excited and totally related. if the next generation is already immersed in VR, then why are we not doing VR Commerce? Should brands build vs. rent on Roblox? Depends on your goals. For brands interested in gaining lots of impressions, renting is a viable path forward. What does renting on Roblox look like? Well, it typically comes in the form of an integration into an existing experience, such as Century Games' Livetopia. In 2023 Livetopia hosted big brands such as Visa, Trolls from DreamWorks Animation / Universal Pictures, L'Oréal, and the LEGO Group. The highest performing campaign attracted 5.8M unique users, which is incredibly strong. As both a 🎮 and a 👩 of a Roblox enthusiast 👧, I’m all 👀 about Roblox's move towards 𝟰𝗗 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗜 - recently shared by Roblox's Chief Scientist, Morgan McGuire. (𝘐𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴/𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘙𝘰𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘹 𝘴𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦, 𝘐 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘭𝘺 𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵 & 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵) It looks to mean that our virtual experiences are becoming even more lifelike and interactive. It's truly remarkable to witness the progress of Roblox, especially the recent advancements in their Connect feature. The latest enhancements empower developers to seamlessly integrate diverse experiences, fostering even more engaging and interconnected gameplay. 🤖 The environment switcher feels smooth, camera modes are more diverse, tracking is pretty dope, and the possibilities for creators are only growing.
