In today’s ever changing environment mental health and well being is so so important

Good morning everyone. as some people may know I do charity events once a year to try and help children charities with huge amount of help from Bateman Groundworks Ltd Me and 8 others will be climbing SCARFELL PIKE on 19th of July For JAMES PAGET HOSPITALChildren’s ward 10 / children’s day patients For kids that need daily treatments. This will hopefully allow the children to have a more comfortable and pleasant stay as will be able to provide a lot of distractions for the children to keep them occupied. Today is "Giving Tuesday" which is a great way for charities to remind us to donate to causes and charities. IMO a better way to give is in a thoughtful and planned manner to the charities/non-profits that are meaningful to us. Also, there are more efficient and less efficient ways to give to charitable organizations. Depending on one's circumstances: 1️⃣ Qualified Charitable Distributions or QCDs from an IRA can make sense for those eligible 2️⃣ Giving highly appreciated investments directly to charity 3️⃣ Setting up a Donor Advised Fund where you give the $ or appreciated investments but get to grant the funds out over time. Potentially accelerating the tax deduction to current year subject to limitations 4️⃣ Often overlooked but not to be missed your human capital to fill a volunteer skill set needed by organization Tuesday tune a throw back "Ballad of a Thin Man" by Bobbie Dylan as none of his friends call him. This is such a great cause and hits home as I have experience losing somebody sadly to suicide and I often think what would life be like now if this person spoke up. unfortunately he lost his battle with his own mind, but these two legends are driving up and down the country to help raise awareness, and help people feel they can speak up regarding their inner battles. Only 36% of all NHS referrals for psychological therapies are for men. Men are less likely to seek help for their mental health. 52% Would be concerned about taking time off work, whilst 46% would be embarrassed or ashamed to tell their employer. (Men's Health Forum) Suicide Is the leading cause of death for men under the age of 50 in the UK. (Calm Zone) 75% Of deaths by suicide are males, and they are three times more likely to die by suicide than women.
